Logan Zarins Finishes Second In 2024 Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series Championship!
The Hookstown, Pennsylvania native Logan Zarin advance two positions in the end of year points standings in his second year on tour with Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series. Zarin who found victory lane at Latrobe Speedway in 2023 with ULMS and finished fourth in the standings found consistency after a heartbreak hit the Jim Zarin owned #1z race team early on in the year.
Coming into the opening event of the Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series season at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway’s inaugural “Pot of Gold 75” event, Zarin mid way through the main event was caught up in a red flag that saw his #1z Rocket Chassis powered by Pro Power Racing Engines on Integra Shocks with VP Racing Fuel left totaled and unrepairable. Coming into the next event with the tour the following Friday at Williams Grove Speedway, misfortune continued to show itself as Zarin unloaed and broke a rearend coming to the green in hot laps. Unable to be repaired and now without a back up car due to the incident the previous week, the team was force to load up and only take show up points for the event. Meanwhile several other Lindemuth Laser Etching Teams finished inside the top ten with at the time the 2023 Champion and Chew on This Jerky Rookie of The Year Tyler Emory finding Close Racing Supply Victory Lane that evening.
Taking the month of April to regroup, the team set out for the United Late Model Series Topless 50 at Ohio Valley and began finding success with solid finishes. As the season progressed Zarin and newfound sponsor Brian Daughtery and Integra Shocks began working together which showed progression in Zarins on track performance. Mid-season Zarin decided to purchase a new Rocket Chassis XR1.2 which only seemed to aid in his style of driving making events such as the Pittsburgher 100 with the LOLMDS. He finished the year off with the Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series at the Legendary Pennsboro Speedway in Pennsboro, West Virginia in the ULMS/XRSS co-sanctioned event. Showing speed and gathering multiple top ten finishes throughout the three event weekend.
The father son team of Jim and Logan Zarin with the aid of crew chief Greg Beach have already notified Series Director Trevor Zuver of their plans to once again sign on to run the full 25th Anniversary Season of the Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series come 2025. This time he looks to only improve one more position in the Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series Championship Point Standings.
