Yoder Picks Up Second Career ULMS Victory, First since 2013! 

Middleburg, PA resident Dylan Yoder captured his first Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series victory of the year Friday night at Outlaw Speedway in the “Steve Kent Memorial””.   Paying $5,000.00 to win, it was one of the richest paying super late model events the speedway has seen to date and Yoder drove to the front from a fifth place starting position to land his #24Y Rocket Chassis in Close Racing Supply Victory Lane.

With 16 entries, the Jay’s United Late Model Series set out for Lindemuth Laser Etching Qualifying which saw Dylan Cecce set fast time.  Cecce would claim Rocket Chassis heat race number one and Lindemuth Laser Etching Elite Driver Michael Lake won Keizer Racing Wheels heat race number two.  Three Rivers Karting & Entertainment Park redraw put Addison, NY’s Jason Knowles and Avis, PA’s Dylan Cecce on the front row. However, heartbreak would strike for the #4 team of Knowles as engine troubles would arise sideling him from the a-main putting the #18 on the point.

After an intermission for track prep, the Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series took the green flag for the thirty lap “Dave Kittey Memorial” main event. Two early cautions due to a broken rear end on the Mike Smith machine and a flat right rear tire on the #4s of Ryan Montgomery would be all the event would see.  Montgomery, who slated to start from the 8th position had to take the tail for the start of the race as he was late to the call.  After a lap 22 caution for Montgomery, the 24 and 0 of the Yoder’s were all over the race leader Dylan Cecce.  Dylan Yoder would eventually over take Cecce and lead the rest of the event and see the checkers fly first!

The Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series thanks everyone that came out in support of the “Steve Kent Memorial” and the Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series as they returned to Outlaw Speedway Friday night.  You can see the Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series return to Outlaw Speedway again in 2024 on Friday, September 13, for “NASCAR NIGHT”!
