UNITED LATE MODEL SERES (ULMS) NAMES AMERICAN RACER TIRE THE OFFICIAL TIRE OF SERIES IN 2025
CARNEGIE, PA – The 25th year of United Late Model Series (ULMS) brings big news with American Racer Tire from Lias Tire Racing Division becoming the exclusive brand to be used at all events.
American Racer Tires and the United Late Model Series have a long history leading back to previous promoter Chris Zuver in the early 2000’s.. American Racer Tires have become very popular on the tour in the past few seasons, being the tire of choice by 2023 champion Tyler Emory and many other drivers who have been to victory lane in United Late Model Series action. Most recently by the 2024 United Late Model Series Champion and Chew on This – Jerky RoTY Michael Lake at the United Late Model Series sanctioned Mason-Dixon 100 for the return of Pennsboro Speedway in October of 2024.
“Getting to one tire brand has been a goal I have expressed to manufacturers and teams the past several years,” Trevor Zuver, ULMS Director, said. “I’ve worked with Dustin (Leverknight) at Lias Tire and American Racer the past few years to get to this point. Being able to bring Jim Bernheisel and his two mini series the “Fall Clash and Appalachian Mountain Speedweek” on board leads me to believe this is the best direction for all our series and the teams that support us throughout the northeast and mid-atlantic. Not too often can you see promoters working together, especially on a program of this magnitude.”
The United Late Model Series season kicks off with the USA 100 at West Virginia’s Beckley Motor Speedway April 25th and 26th co-sanctioned with the Schaeffer Oil Southern Nationals paying $4,053.00 to win on night one, and $15,053.00 to win on night two. This event will be open to both tire brands and serve as a burn-off race for teams.
The new tire rule will go into effect May 3 when the tour makes its first of two stops at another West Virginia venue – Tyler County Speedway – for the Topless 50.
The tire rule will be American Racer 92.0/11.0-15 BT and 88.0/11.0-15BT SD-44 or harder to start the season and transition to a limited compound rule for each event as the year progresses.
“Lias Tire Racing and American Racer have been supporters of the United Late Model Series since day one. We are looking forward to where Trevor takes this series in the future as growth is obvious with this year’s schedule already having quite a few higher-paying shows,” Dustin Leverknight, president of Lias Tire Racing, said.
Tires are available for purchase at Lias Tire Racing Division, and other regional American Racer dealers. However, the United Late Model Series will continue as a dealer bringing tires to each event and teams are able to place preorders now through the series. Elite Drivers contracted to run with the United Late Model Series in 2025 will also race for the opportunity to receive benefits such as donated tires and discounts from the series itself. 
Series Director, Trevor Zuver plans to release 2025 Elite Driver Contracts this coming Friday-Saturday, February, 28, 2025 – March 01, 2025 at the Second Annual Mountain State Racing Expo in Summerville, WV.
