The Zimmer’s Service Center ULMS Late Model Series return to the track this coming off a very successful holiday weekend. Friday night will see the Zimmer’s Service Center ULMS Late Models make their first visit to Big Diamond Speedway in Pottstown, PA and then head to Hagerstown Speedway on Saturday for its first ever visit.

Last year’s event and this spring’s event at Big Diamond got washed away due to rain, so the anticipated return of the super late models to Big Diamond has the region ready to see the high powered late models on the big banks of Pottstown oval.

The main event will pay $3,500 to win and will be 30 laps in length. The series is lead by current point leader and 2015 series champion, Jared Miley with Gregg Satterlee sitting in second in points with three wins on the season. Other notable names that will be on hand include Dave Stamm, Danny Snyder, Dylan Yoder, Andrew Yoder, Andy Haus, Luke Hoffner, the father son team of Mike and Kevin Smith, Tyler Hershey and several others will be on hand for the May 6 make up event.

Pits open at 5pm Friday night at Big Diamond with grandstands opening at 5:30pm ULMS Registration begins at 5pm, with ULMS driver meeting at 645PM at the ULMS Command Center On track activities begin at 7:15PM with ULMS Integra Shocks Hot Lap Qualifying. Grandstand admission is $30 for adults, kids under 16 and active military with ID are free and all pit passes are $40 for non track members.

On Saturday, the ULMS Late Model Series roll into Maryland for the first time in 2022 season with its inaugural visit to Hagerstown Speedway. The legendary half mile oval added the date to go with Big Diamond event for a two day weekend for the series and it will also offer a guaranteed starting spot for the August Nathan Durborow Memorial event.

A very qood field of cars are expected to be on hand at the Capitol of Dirt Track Racing Saturday evening. Miley, Satterlee, Stamm, Snydel will lead the ULMS contingent and will be joined by the Yoders, Haus, Hershey, Kyle Lee, Rick Eckert, Matt Cosner, Austin Berry, Jim and Bryan Bernheisel, Kyle Hardy, Roy Deese, Tyler Horst, Shaun Jone and the legendary Gary Stuhler are all expected to be on hand at Hagerstown.

Saturday nights Christmas in July event will also be 30 laps in length paying $3500 to the winer and he will also get the guaranteed starting spot for next month’s Nathan Durboraw Memorial. Pits open at 430pm with grandstands opening at 5pm. ULMS registration begins at 430pm and shuts off at 630pm with driver meeting shortly there after at the ULMS Command Center. Integra Shock Hot Lap Qualifying will begin at 7pm. Pit passes are $30 with general admission being $20 and students/senior/military being charged $15 and all kids 12 and under are free. ULMS Registration is $50 per event. Race fans can also watch Saturday nights event live online at TheCushion.com.

ULMS Racing Series procedures will be in place for both events, which include Integra Shocks hot lap qualifying, 8 lap minimum qualifying heat events, consolation events and 30 lap main event. Time Trials per ULMS rules will be the following: 3 heats will be straight up; 4 heats will result in A&B group qualifying. No more than 5 cars will hot lap qualify at a time. The Jay’s Auto Wrecking Redraw will see someone get awarded the $100 Jay’s Auto Wrecking Unlucky Dog award for redrawing the worst pill. The ULMS Late Model Series tire rule is Hoosier 1300 or American Racer 44 or harder on all 4 corners.
