The Zimmer’s Service Center ULMS Late Model Series has a double header this weekend as the series makes its first visit to Woodhull Raceway since 2012 on Saturday followed up with the kickoff event at the all new Bloomsburg Fair Speedway joined by the USAC Eastern Storm non wing sprints. Both events pay $3000 to the winner for the 30 lap event.

It will be almost 9 years since the last time a super late model event graced the high bank oval of Woodhull Raceway. Dan Stone of Thompson PA took home the popular win that night. Since then there has not been a super late model event at the Bullring. That dry spell will end Saturday night when the stars of the Zimmer’s Service Center ULMS Late Model Series North Region flock to Woodhull.

Max Blair currently leads the ULMS North Region points and is coming off a four day weekend at Eldora Speedway in the Viper Motorsports #111v Rocket Chassis. Blair has two ULMS North Region wins and four wins overall in the ULMS 2021 season. Joining him will be current ULMS Chew On This Jerky Rookie of Year North point leader, Ryan Scott, Wyatt Scott who picked up the ULMS win at McKean County last month and has three wins on the season in the region. Deshawn Gingerich who currently is second in the Chew on This Jerky Rookie of Year chase will be on hand along with Greg Oakes, Mike Wonderling, Jason Dobson, Zach Wiech, Damien Bidwell, Cody Egner, Bob Dorman, Jason Harmon and local favorite Bryce Davis from nearby by Canisteo.

Pit gates and Grandstand gates open at 430pm with adult grandstand admission being $18. Joining the ULMS Late Models will be the modifieds, crate sportsman, hobby stocks, street stocks, mini stocks, FWD and warriors. ULMS will have hot laps along with the Integra Shock Qualifying to set up the heat race lineups, leading up to the Jay’s Auto Wrecking Scramble for the top heat race qualifiers setting the stage for the 30 lap event paying $3000 to win. Woodhull Raceway utilizes the MYLAPS/AMB transponder for all timing and scoring. The event will be streamed live on TheCushion.com for those who are unable to attend the event or live outside the area and watch the ULMS Late Models on the high banks!

On Sunday, June 20, the Zimmer’s Service Center ULMS South Region kicks back in gear for the first time since early May as the series kicks off the all new Bloomsburg Fair Speedway in Bloomsburg PA. Blair is currently the point leader in the South Region along with being the ULMS National Point leader will no doubt be on hand to keep moving forward in the point chase. Blair has two wins in the South region, with wins at Williams Grove and Cumberland will be seeing the “Truth”, Gregg Satterlee who has three ULMS south region wins in 2021 and currently sits in second in points ahead of Dylan Yoder. All three drivers are expected to be on hand along with former two time series winner and Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer, Rick Eckert in the famous #0. A good quality field of cars are expected including, Chew on This Jerky Rookie of Year drivers, Ryan Scott, Gingerich, Shaun Jones, David Stamm, Austin Berry who won last Saturday at Port Royal Speedway, plus Dan Stone, Jim Yoder, Jim Bernheisel, Kenny Trevitz and the Turbortville Tornado Luke Hoffner.

Race fans are reminded that gates open at 4pm with all pit passes being $40 and adult grandstand tickets being sold at $30 and student price being $20. Hot laps will begin at 630pm followed Integra Shock Qualifying. Joining the ULMS Late Model Series will be the USAC National Sprint Eastern Storm non wing sprints. Bloomsburg Fair Speedway uses the MYlaps/AMB transponder for all scoring and timing. The Bloomsburg event will be shown live on Floracing.com due to the USAC contract if you are unable to attend this event in person.

ULMS Racing Series procedures will be in place, which includes Integra Shocks time trials, minimum 8 lap qualifying heat events, consolation events, Jay’s Auto Wrecking Scramble and 30 lap main event. Time Trials per ULMS rules will be the following: 3 heats or less will be straight up; 4 heats will result in A&B group qualifying. The ULMS Late Model Series tire rule is Hoosier 1300 or American Racer 44 or harder on all 4 corners. All late model teams must present their cars along with safety equipment at pre-race safety and car inspection. No cars will be allowed on the track before completing tech.

Payout for both events are the following: $3000 1500 1200 1000 800 650 600 550 525 500 450 400 350 325 300 – 24TH.  ULMS entry fee is $50 for all ULMS competitors.
