Williams Grove Speedway will try again this Friday, March 26 at 730PM when it hosts the 410 sprint cars and the Zimmer Service Center United Late Model Series for the second time in series history.  Two years ago the series made its debut at the legendary central PA oval and Rick Eckert came home the winner.  Last years two spring events were won by corona virus.

The ULMS Late Models show was originally slated for March 19 but was lost to weather so the super lates along with the ULMS touring stars will return to Williams Grove for another try on Friday. Gates will open at 5:30. The winner of the event will be a guaranteed qualifier for the Frank Sagi Memorial Tribute at Hagerstown on Sunday May 16.

Just like last weekend, a stout field of super late models is expected to be in action on Friday night as the season is young and drivers and teams are anxious to get that first race of the season in the books. The ULMS series opened their season with two events at Port Royal Speedway and saw 54 different race teams from four states compete.

Gregg Satterlee has already shown he is the car to beat in the central PA by sweeping both events at Port Royal Speedway.  With this Friday event being a makeup event, Satterlee already had plans to be out of town for the weekend and will not be in attendance.   Drivers expected on hand are Mike Norris, Max Blair, Dylan Yoder, Jeff Rine, Rick Eckert, Dan Stone, Shaun Jones, Bryan Bernheisel, Gary Stuhler, Jason Covert, Ross Robinson, Kyle Lee, Deshawn Gingerich, Ryan Scott and many more.

ULMS Racing Series procedures will be in place, which includes hot laps, time trials, 8 lap qualifying heat events, consolation events, plus the 2 lap Jays Auto Wrecking Scramble and 30 lap main event. Time Trials per ULMS rules will be the following: 3 heats will be straight up; 4 heats will result in A&B group qualifying. If there are 4 heats or less, the top 2 heat finishers will enter the two lap scramble to determine the top starting spots in the main event. The ULMS Late Model Series tire rule is Hoosier 1300 or American Racer 44 or harder on all 4 corners. All late model teams must present their cars along with safety equipment (helmet and Hans device if they were not at Port Royal last weekend) at pre-race safety and car inspection. Williams Grove Speedway utilizes the AMB transponders for scoring and timing. Limited transponder rentals are available at both facilities. Raceivers are mandatory and frequency of 454.000.

ULMS tech opens at 5:30pm and closes at 6:30pm. No cars will be allowed on the track before completing tech. ULMS Driver meeting will be at 6:30pm at the ULMS Command Center, then ULMS hot laps at 6:50pm, followed by ULMS qualifying time trials (4 cars at a time).
