The Zimmer’s Service Center ULMS Late Model Series will hope to beat the weather this coming weekend as the series heads to Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, PA on Friday night for Willie & Conda McConnell Memorial that will pay $3500 to win plus lap money and will see the winner getting a guaranteed starting spot for the Lucas Oil Firecracker 100. On Saturday the series will make the trip to central Ohio to Wayne Count Speedway for another 30 lap event paying $3500 to win at the Orville OH oval.

The series is lead by current point leader, Gregg along with 2015 series point champion and opening night winner at Lernerville Jared Miley, current ULMS Chew on This Jerky Rookie of Year point leader and Port Royal Speedway point leader, Colton Flinner, along with full time regular, Dave Stamm will all be on hand along with Lernerville regulars, Alex Ferree, Michael Norris, Ken Schaltenbrand, Gary Lyle, Levi Yetter, Logan Zarin along with regional stars including series 2016 and 2017 champion Dave Hess jr. Ryan Montgomery, Matt Lux Darrell Bossard and Drake Troutman have indicated they will all be in attendance.

The 30 lap event in memory of the parents of the McConnell Family. The Willie and Conda McConnell Memorial has every lap sponsored with an additional approximate $3000 in lap money along with $300 in hard charger, $200 hard luck award, a free Hoosier tire to the overall quick time in Integra Shock Hot Lap Qualifying and the guaranteed starting spot for the Lucas Oil Firecracker 100 for the winner of the Willie and Conda McConnell Memorial.

Pits open at 4pm Friday night at Lernerville with grandstands opening at 5pm ULMS Registration begins at 4pm at the ULMS Command Center. On track activities begin at 6:50PM featuring ULMS Integra Shocks Hot Lap Qualifying followed by heat events at 7:30PM. ULMS teams are reminded that Lernerville Speedway uses the MyLaps transponder for scoring and timing.

On Saturday, the ULMS Late Model Series will head to Wayne County Speedway in Wooster, Ohio. The second ever visit to the Buckeye state oval for the series will see track hot shoe, Doug Drown who owns a pair of ULMS wins over the past few years defending his home turf against Miley, Flinner and Stamm.
Other Ohio stars expected on hand are Mitch Caskey, Ryan Markham, Eric Wilson, Jr Gentry are expected along with Lux, Ferree, Montgomery, Levi Spinneweber and many others.

Pits and grandstand gates open at 3pm on Saturday with ULMS Registration closing at 5:30PM followed by ULMS driver meeting at 5:40PM and hot laps beginning at 6pm featuring ULMS Integra Shock Qualifying and racing at 7pm. Joining the ULMS Late Models will be the All Star Circuit of Champion Sprint Car Series. ULMS teams are reminded that Wayne County uses both the Westhold and MyLaps transponder for all scoring and timing.

ULMS Racing Series procedures will be in place for both events, which include Integra Shocks hot lap qualifying, 8 lap minimum qualifying heat events, consolation events and 30 lap main event. Time Trials per ULMS rules will be the following: 3 heats will be straight up; 4 heats will result in A&B group qualifying. No more than 5 cars will hot lap qualify at a time. The Jay’s Auto Wrecking Redraw will see someone get awarded the $100 Jay’s Auto Wrecking Unlucky Dog award for redrawing the worst pill. The ULMS Late Model Series tire rule is Hoosier 1300 or American Racer 44 or harder on all 4 corners.
