The Zimmer’s Service Center ULMS Late Model Series hits the quarter mile bullring of Bradford Speedway Sunday night for a 30 lap main event paying $3000 to the winner for the ULMS North Region event.
Last year saw Wyatt Scott grab his first career ULMS series win at Bradford Speedway by holding off his father, David. That win would propel the younger Scott to the 2020 Chew on This Jerky Rookie of the Year and a second place point finish. Three time defending series champion, Max Blair won the other ULMS event at Bradford last summer. Both drivers have wins on the 2021 ULMS season so far with Wyatt winning last Thursday night at McKean County Raceway and Blair having four wins on the season so far in ULMS competition in the south and north regions and is the current ULMS National Points leader.
A good quality field of cars are expected to be on hand for the little quarter mile with previous ULMS Bradford winners, David Scott, Greg Oakes and Bryce Davis are all expected to be on hand along with 2021 ULMS Chew on This Jerky Rookie of Year drivers, Ryan Scott, Deshawn Gingerich, along with Mike Wonderling, Jason Dobson, Cody Egner, Doug Eck, Garrett Mott, Bob Dorman, Damien Bidwell, Zach Wiech and 2020 Hidden Valley Speedway champion, Billy Eash are all planning on hitting the highbank oval.
Mylaps transponder system will be used for all timing and scoring. ULMS Racing Series procedures will be in place, which includes Integra Shocks time trials, minimum 8 lap qualifying heat events, consolation events, Jay’s Auto Wrecking Scramble and 30 lap main event. Time Trials per ULMS rules will be the following: 3 heats or less will be straight up; 4 heats will result in A&B group qualifying. The ULMS Late Model Series tire rule is Hoosier 1300 or American Racer 44 or harder on all 4 corners. All late model teams must present their cars along with safety equipment at pre-race safety and car inspection. No cars will be allowed on the track before completing tech.
Pits open at 1pm while ULMS registration will open at 230pm with ULMS tech opening at 3pm. ULMS Registration will end at 440pm with ULMS driver meeting 445pm at the ULMS Command Center. ULMS Hot Laps will begin shortly thereafter around 5:15PM with ULMS Integra Shock Qualifying is tentatively schedule after opening ceremonies. ULMS Entry Fee will be $50 for the event. Bradford Speedway utilizes the AMB/MyLaps Transponder system.
