The Jay’s Automotive ULMS Late Model Series will have a three day weekend of action in New York and Pennsylvania this weekend. It all starts Friday night at Outlaw Speedway in Dundee, NY for the Summer Nationals Steve Kent Memorial paying $5000 to win! On Saturday the series rolls south to Hummingbird Speedway for its first ever visit and finish the weekend with Bradford Speedway as both events pay $3500 to win.

ULMS Late Model teams head to south central New York to the Outlaw Speedway in Dundee NY for the third year in a row. A rare showing of super late model support to the hotbed of dirt modified country will give the open wheel fans a chance to see the northeast regions top dirt late model teams compete on neutral ground. Outlaw Speedway has hosted a few super late model events over the years and last two years ULMS event was dominated by the Wizard Dave Hess Jr and last years champion, Jared Miley.

The 30 lap main event will pay $5000 to the winner of the Steve Kent Memorial Summer Nationals. Current series point leader, Tyler Emory will be on hand at Outlaw. This will be the first ever visit for the current point leader to the dirt track in the Finger Lakes. He will be joined by Ryan Montgomery who currently sits second in points just three points behind Emory. Dylan Cecce used Outlaw as his coming out to super late model action last year and he has wins on the year at Outlaw in the street stock class. He will be looking for his first career ULMS win Friday night. Milton, PA driver Dave Stamm, last weeks winner, Logan Zarin, Braeden Dillinger are all expected to be on hand as part of the Jays Auto Wrecking ULMS Elite teams representing the Jays Automotive ULMS Late Model Series.

On Saturday, the series makes it visit to Hummingbird Speedway in Dubois, PA for Grady’s Decision Night.
The night is all about helping families with resources for those who qualify with children needing specialize medical attention for premature children. The inaugural visit by ULMS brings a $3500 to win event going for 30 laps.

The ULMS Elite teams will all be on hand including Emory of King George, VA, Montgomery of Fairmont WV and has a win at Hummingbird in 2022. Logan Zarin coming off his ULMS win last weekend along with Dave Stamm and Braeden Dillinger will lead the ULMS contingent over the Hummingbird faitfhful of Paul Kot, Doug Eck, Clay Ruffo, Nathan Brady and others.

Sunday will see the ULMS Late Model Series head north to Bradford Speedway for the USMC Corporal Jason Dunham Memorial paying $3500 to win for another 30 lap main event in memory of Medal of Honor Recipient Corporal Dunham.

This will be the first super late model race at Bradford since 2021 where David Scott was in victory lane.
Past ULMS winners at Bradford have been Wyatt Scott, Bryce Davis, Greg Oakes and John Lobb. The ULMS Elite teams will be joined by expected entrys of Garrett Mott, Mike Smith, Kevin Smith, Dylan Fenton, Oakes and several others.

ULMS Racing Series procedures will be in place for both events, which include Lindemuth Laser Etching Qualifying, 8 lap minimum qualifying heat events, consolation events and 41 lap main event. Time Trials per ULMS rules will be the following: 3 heats will be straight up; 4 heats will result in A&B group qualifying. ULMS will redraw for the feature with the top 2 heat finishers redrawing after their heats. The ULMS Late Model Series tire rule is Left Front – Open RF / LR / RR Hoosier NLMT 2, 3 or 4 LM 20 30 or 40. American Racer 44 / 48 Pro2 53/56 Crate Late Models can run crate tires but RR must be under the ULMS tire rule Siping and grooving is allowed.

Also new for 2023 is after the 3rd caution the restarts will be single file and all cautions with less than 5 laps in the feature will be single file. ULMS will still utilize the Delaware restart procedures leading up to the fourth caution to initial the single fire restarts. Also beginning this year when the second place car chooses his lane under the Delaware restart, all other positions will follow as suit (2nd place chooses outside 3rd in 4th out, 5th in and so on).

All late model teams that have not competed with ULMS in 2023 must present their cars along with safety equipment (helmet and Hans device) at pre-race safety and car inspection. Once your car has been inspected you will not need to present your safety equipment again, unless you enter a different car during the weekend. Both tracks use the MYLAPS transponder for scoring and timing. Raceivers are mandatory and frequency will be 454.000. ULMS will be using the universal body rule for 2023 including the droop rule where the droop will be check once the Left Rear tire leaves the ground. This is the same as World of Outlaws and Lucas Oil series.

Entry Fee for each event is $75. Purse for Hummngbird and Bradford will be as follows: $3500 1700 1200 1000 800 750 700 650 625 600 500 475 450 (13th -24th). Outlaw Speedway purse is $5000 2000 1200 1000 800 750 700 650 625 600 550 450 400 350 (14th -24th)
