TREVOR ZUVER’S INDEPENDENCE SPEEDWEEK NEXT FOR UNITED LATE MODEL SERIES

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania — The Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series Presented by M&T Appliances and Fueled by VP Racing Fuels now turns its attention to one of the biggest stretches of the 2026 season as teams prepare for Trevor Zuver’s Independence Speedweek, taking place July 1–5, 2026.

The five-day swing features four races in five nights across Pennsylvania and New York as the United States celebrates its 250th Birthday. The inaugural Independence Speedweek for the United Late Model Series begins at Michaels Mercer Raceway Park before traveling north to The Dirt Track at Genesee for three nights and concluding at Eriez Speedway.

With over $23,000 in winner’s shares and nearly $100,000 in total purse money, Independence Speedweek is expected to attract many of the region’s top Super Late Model teams from Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, Maryland, and beyond.

Expected competitors throughout the week include fan favorites such as Max Blair, Mason Zeigler, Dave Hess Jr., Brock Pinkerous, Greg Oakes, Mike Knight, and many more.

JULY 1 — LIBERTY CLASSIC

Michaels Mercer Raceway Park | Mercer, Pennsylvania

The action begins Wednesday, July 1st as the United Late Model Series returns to Michaels Mercer Raceway Park for the First Annual Liberty Classic.

Paying $6,000-to-win, $1,000 for 10th, and $500 to start, the event becomes the highest-paying Super Late Model event in the track’s 75-year history.

The Liberty Classic also marks the return of the United Late Model Series to Mercer Raceway Park for the first time in nine years and is already shaping up to become one of the track’s largest events of the season.

JULY 2–4 — STARS & STRIPES SHOWDOWN

The Dirt Track at Genesee | Batavia, New York

The tour then heads north to Batavia, New York for Trevor Zuver’s Second Annual Stars & Stripes Showdown, a massive three-day event at The Dirt Track at Genesee.

Thursday, July 2nd begins with open practice before racing action officially kicks off Friday night.

The 2024 edition came down to a dramatic last lap, last corner battle where “The Wizard” Dave Hess Jr. stole victory away from Mason Zeigler.
