The Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Model Series return to Thunder Mountain Speedway for a pair of $10,000 to win events for the tracks ThunderFest weekend. Friday nights event is the Jim Garman Memorial and Saturday’s $10,000 to win event is the Triple Nickel 55 in the richest weekend in the 21 years of ULMS Racing Series history.

This is the 4th annual ThunderFest weekend as last weeks ULMS winner Kyle Hardy and Boom Briggs won the inaugural events in 2018, with three time ULMS Series and defending champion Max Blair sweeping the events in 2019 and last year saw Scott Bloomquist and Brandon Sheppard taking home the wins. Michael Norris picked up the ULMS win at Thunder Mountain earlier this summer during the Connor Bobik Memorial.

A stellar field of cars are expected on hand with Blair leading the ULMS North and South contingent of racers that will include Wyatt Scott, Dylan Yoder, Gregg Satterlee, 2021 Chew on This Jerky Rookie of Year leader, Deshawn Gingerich will all be facing the top stars of Thunder Mountain Speedway including 2021 track champion Jon Lee, Chris Hackett, Matt Lux, Gale Huey and Doug Eck.

Also expected to be on hand are former ULMS champions, Jared Miley, Boom Briggs, Chub Frank, Mike Knight along with other regional stars of Alex Ferree, Colton Flinner the 2021 Lernerville Speedway champion, Dan Stone, Tyler Dietz, Dan Angelicchio, Michael Lake, David Scott, Greg Oakes, Bob Dorman and many others will be on hand for the twin $10,000 to win events.

ULMS Racing Series normal procedures will be in place including Integra Shocks time trials, minimum 8 lap qualifying heat events, consolation events, Jay’s Auto Wrecking Scramble and the main event. Time Trials per ULMS rules will be the following: 3 heats or less will be straight up; 4 heats will result in A&B group qualifying. The ULMS Late Model Series tire rule is Hoosier 1300 or American Racer 44 or harder on all 4 corners. All late model teams must present their cars along with safety equipment at pre-race safety and car inspection on Friday. Saturday all new entries will go thru pre race inspection and Friday competitors may choose to go thru pre race tech. No cars will be allowed on the track before completing tech. Thunder Mountain Speedway utilitzes the Mylaps / AMB transponder system for all scoring and timing. Entry Fee for both events are $50 each day.
