This weekend will see the Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Model Series and the Plyler Entry Systems United Emod Series both in action. The ULMS Late Model Series makes their second and final appearance to Thunder Mountain Speedway on Friday, June 8th and on Saturday June 9th; it will be a double header at Sharon Speedway featuring both ULMS Late Models and the Plyler Entry System UEMS Emod Series.

Friday, June 8th the Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Model Series head back to Thunder Mountain Speedway in Brookville, PA for a 30 lap $3000 to win main event. The “Keystone Kamikaze” Max Blair leads the ULMS contingent of Mike Maresca, Doug Eck, Greg Oakes, Mike Wonderling Jr., Jason Dobson, Matt Lux, Garrett Mott and others against the tough Thunder Mountain regulars of Charlie Powell Jr., Jon Lee, Chris Farrell, Jerry Redden, Levi Sikora, Kyle Knapp, Joe Petyak, Curtis Teats and other tough Thunder Mountain Speedway competitors.

Jared Miley of Pittsburgh picked up the last ULMS win at Thunder Mountain last month. Miley held off Mike Maresca, a rain shower and ended the race with a flat left rear tire. The final eleven laps of the event after the rain delay were worth the price of admission.

Driver meeting for Friday at Thunder Mountain will be at 645pm with hot laps beginning at 7pm and ULMS Late Model qualifying at 730pm. Joining the ULMS Late Models will be the semi late models, street stocks and FWD 4 cylinders. All ticket information is located at www.thundermountainspeedwaypa.com.

On Saturday, the ULMS Racing Series heads west to Hartford, Ohio to visit Sharon Speedway for the first time since May 30, 2015. The Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Model Series will have a $3000 to win event going 30 laps in distance. Joining the Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Models will be its sister series, the Plyler Entry Systems UEMS Emod Series will kick off its 2018 campaign with a 25 lap $1000 to win main event.

Max Blair won his first ever ULMS Late Model Series event when the series was last at Sharon Speedway and the UEMS Emods have not graced the Sharon Speedway oval since 2013, when both series had 26 events on its calendar. The ULMS contingent will again be led by Blair, followed by Mike Maresca who has had his car maintained by local Bristolville legend, Russ King, who knows the Sharon oval very well. Eck, Wonderling Oakes, Dobson Lux, Mott along with northern invaders from Stateline-Eriez are expected with the likes of Bobby Rohrer, Matt Urban, John Lobb, Bump Hedman, Chad Wright are a few expected to be on hand.

The Plyler Entry System UEMS Emod Series will be led by three time and defending series champion, Joel Watson along with former three time champion, Randy Hall in the Tim Engles #68 machine. Mike McGee, Brent Rhebergen, Carl McKinney, Josh Ferry, Ken Zimmer, Jack Young, Mike Potosky, Dennis Lunger Jr., Greg Johnson, Dan Sasso, Gary Eicher, Mike Kinney, Troy Johnson and Al Brewer is expected have both his ULMS Late Model and his UEMS Emod entries on hand.

Pits at Sharon Speedway open at 4pm with racing at 7pm. ULMS Late Models will have qualifying while UEMS Emods will have hot laps and pill drawing for their starting positions. Joining the ULMS Racing Series double header will be the big block modifies and the junior sprints for kids. Grandstand admission is $15 and $35 for pits. Entry fee for both ULMS events at Thunder Mountain and Sharon Speedway is $30 and $20 for UEMS Emods.
