$9,000 TOTAL TO WIN FOR ULMS LATE MODELS

PLUS POSSIBLE $28,000 FOR E-MODIFIEDS AT TYLER COUNTY & MANSFIELD

Mother Nature is still not cooperating as the month of May ends with the postponing of the Mega 100 Weekend at Tyler County Speedway in West Virginia.   The Mega 100 was moved to Thursday June 28- Saturday June 30th.   This presented a problem with the Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Model teams as there was an event scheduled at McKean County Family Raceway on the 30th of June.

There were several discussions with Cody and John Watson, along with the Bigley family of McKean County Family Raceway, to possibly move the ULMS date on the 30th of June to Tuesday July 3rd.   After everyone reviewed their options, MCFR elected to run the scheduled ULMS date as a non-sanction super late model event allowing ULMS to be at Tyler County for the Mega 100 weekend.

“I hated to lose any dates; I was hoping to do a little schedule juggling to keep all three event dates between the two tracks,” stated ULMS owner, Chris Zuver.   Zuver continued stating, “MCFR is home to me, the Tyler County event is one of the biggest events on our schedule, and MCFR allowed us to keep that event on the schedule, but unfortunately, we lost a MCFR date.  There was lot of options being discussed from a one day show on Friday at Tyler County and then head back north to MCFR on Saturday, but few teams that I discussed this with, didn’t see it feasible to travel five hours for one show.”

The original ULMS portion of the Mega 100 weekend was seeing the ULMS Late Models run a 30 lap event on Friday paying $3000 to win and a 40 lap event on Saturday paying $5000 to win.  Now, it has been changed to a 50 lap event on Friday paying $7,000 to win and a 25 lap event paying $2000 to win on Saturday, setting up a possible $9,000 weekend at Tyler County for the ULMS Late Models.

The very next day, Sunday, July 1st the Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Model Series will head north to Eriez Speedway for the 2nd Annual Mike Farr Memorial paying $4100 to win, making it a $13,000 weekend.
