Gregg Satterlee of Rochester Mills, Pennsylvania picked up his third Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Model Series win of the young 2021 season, Saturday night at Selinsgrove Speedway. The win was Satterlee’s ninth career win with the United Late Model Series.

Max Blair and Gregg Satterlee paced the field the green flag with the duo charging down the front stretch and Satterlee charging into the lead as they rounded out of turn 2. Lap 1 would see Satterlee, Blair, Jeff Rine, who won last years ULMS event at Selinsgrove, Mason Zeigler and Kyle Knapp.

By lap 8, Satterlee and Blair was catching the rear of the field and the car on the move was Coleby Frye who started fifteenth and was up to ninth. As the top two worked thru lap traffic the first caution came out on lap 11 for Larry Nederer who slowed down the backstretch.

On the restart Satterlee got the jump on the field as Rine and Blair made contact on the front stretch with Blair powering back into the runner up spot behind Satterlee. Dylan Yoder moved into fifth behind Zeigler with Knapp now in sixth. The yellow lights would flash again for a multi car incident in turn one and two involving, Ken Trevitz, Dave Stamm, Koty Lyter, Austin Berry and Ryan Scott. Lyter and Berry were finished for the evening.

On the restart the field stacked on and thankfully all cars cleared as Satterlee stormed down into turn one with Blair and Rine again making contact and the #111 securing second over Rine #2J who dropped to fourth as Zeigler got around Rine with Yoder, Knapp and Scott Flickinger now in seventh. The yellow lights flashed again for debris on the backstretch.

With sixteen laps remaining Satterlee again led the field down the home stretch over Blair and Zeigler. Zeigler would drop to fifth as Yoder and Rine would get around the 25z machine in turns one and two. Zeigler was rim riding as Dan Stone found something on the bottom and was charging to fifth with Knapp lurking. Satterlee and Blair pulled away from the field as the laps clicked off when the yellow came out again on lap 24 as Ken Trevitz got crossed up on the back stretch enough for series officials to bring out the caution. This set up the stage for a six lap dash and Satterlee was all for Blair and would lead the final six laps to win his third ULMS win of the year over Blair by 2 seconds. Yoder came home third over Rine and Stone.

Jeff Rine set the Integra Shocks Fast Time of the night with a lap time of 18.536 seconds over Blair who was at 18.543, Frye, Satterlee, Knapp and Shaun Jones was sixth fastest but his night ended with motor issues. Rine, Blair and Zeigler were the three heat winners with Blair capturing the Jay’s Auto Wrecking Scramble and the extra $100.

The Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Model Series returns to action on Saturday April 24 at Sharon Speedway and Sunday April 25 at McKean County Raceway when the ULMS North Region opens with a pair of $3000 to win events.. The next ULMS South Region returns to action on April 30 at Bedford Speedway for the $8500 to win Billy Winn Classic followed by a $3000 to win event the next day at the Greater Cumberland Raceway.
