The Night of Power at Path Valley Speedway got partially completed before mother nature took home the checkers ending the night with a deluge of rain that fell on the race track on lap 8 of the 305 sprint car feature. The Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Model Series 30 lap main event was next up and it will have to wait until Monday, September 6 to be completed as the track will be adding a complete program for the ULMS Late Models to the evening as well.
That’s right the Night of Power will end a busy four day Labor Weekend stretch for the ULMS Late Model Series that will see five events in four days with the Bedford Speedway Labor Day 55 kicking it off on Friday September 3rd paying $12,000 to the winner followed by the Butch Renninger Memorial at Port Royal Speedway paying $5333 to the winner, Selinsgrove on September 5th paying $5000 to the winner and the ULMS Late Models return to Path Valley for the $3000 to win event from Friday night and a complete program with winners purse to be announced in the near future.
Jamie Lathroum set the Integra Shocks Fast Time of the night with a lightning quick lap of 10.319 seconds. He was followed by Kyle Lee and Rick Eckert with the three fastest laps in time trials. Heat winners were Lathroum, Max Blair and Eckert while Lathroum collected the $100 Jay’s Auto Wrecking Pole Scramble with Dillan Stake starting on the outside pole when the race happens on Labor Day. Jason Covert, Kyle Lear, Max Blair and Rick Eckert will be the first six cars in the 21 car field.
Racing is will start at 3pm on Labor Day with hot laps followed by ULMS 30 lap feature and the UMP modified feature and then into the regular program that will be added including another full ULMS program.
