Blair WINS “Sunday Thunder” at Tri-City Raceway Park!

Four-time Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series Champion, all time wins leader, and current LOLMDs regular Max Blair returned to competition with the tour Sunday at Tri-City Raceway Park to capture his first victory with the United Late Model Series since 2022.  Blair would sweep the night picking up fast time, capturing his heat win and leading wire to wire in the thirty lap main event.  This would be the first event the series has held at Tri-City since May of 2021, and a phenomenal one at that.  From green to checkered the entire Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series program was finished in two and half hours, with the final checkered flying at exactly 8:00PM. New found promoters Josh and Krystin Shiffer continue to put time and effort into improving the Franklin, Pennsylvania facility.  The Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series look forward to making a return in 2025.

With 17 entries, the Jay’s United Late Model Series set out for Lindemuth Laser Etching Qualifying that saw Max Blair set fast time in his #111 Longhorn Chassis.  Blair would claim Rocket Chassis heat race number one and 2022 United Late Model Series Champion, Jared Miley would win Keizer Racing Wheels heat race number two.  Three Rivers Karting & Entertainment Park redraw put Hookstown’s, PA’s Logan Zarin and Centerville, PA’s Max Blair on the front row.

After a quick 20 minute intermission to run the track in, the “Sunday Thunder” thirty lap event was set to go green.  Blair would jump out to the early lead in the first corner, Boozel snagged second for a few laps before Miley would overtake and Zarin rode around in third watching the battles unfold.  Boozel would fall back fourth and battle with Alex Ferree for most of the event.  Fourth running Michael Lake who appeared to be strong had a mechanical failure which sent him pit side and caused a debri caution as the drive shaft of the #27 Longhorn Chassis sat on the exit of turn number two.  Lined back up, it would be Max Blair the rest of the way as he crossed the line first over Jared Miley and third running Logan Zarin.

The Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series thanks everyone that came out in support of the “Sunday Thunder” event at Tri-City Raceway Park which saw the return of the Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series and Super Late Models to the Franklin, Pennsylvania dirt oval. You can see the Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series next at Bedford Speedway on Friday, August 30th for the “Labor Day 55” paying $12,055.00 to the victor.
