This weekend its a double header weekend for the Plyler Entry Systems UEMS Modifieds at Thunder Mountain Speedway on Friday night and Dog Hollow on Saturday night.  The two events will pay $1200 and $100 to win each and will mark the first ever visits to both tracks for the UEMS modifieds and to a non E-modified track.  Also the all new United 4 Cylinder Series will make its debut on Saturday at Dog Hollow in a $500 to win 20 lap main event.

Friday night makes history for the Plyler Entry Systems UEMS Modified Series (Emods) as the series brings the open wheel class to Thunder Mountain for the first time ever.  A $1200 to win, 25 lap main event is scheduled, with Josh Ferry of Cochranton, PA leading the way after his win at McKean County Family Raceway in June.

On Saturday, the UEMS Modifieds roll down into Dog Hollow Speedway for another first time visit.  Unlike Thunder Mountain where the E-modified class has never raced at before, the modifieds have raced at Dog Hollow over the years.  Saturday’s event is paying $1000 to win for the 25 lap event. Plyler Entry Systems UEMS officials expect to see some southern Pennsylvania racers entering this event along with current back to back and three time defending series champion, Joel Watson of Conneaut, OH, who is coming off a stellar weekend at Tyler County during the Mega 100 events.

Race fans can expect to see series point leader, Ferry along with multi champions, Watson, Randy Hall of Olean, NY, Gary Eicher of McKean, PA, Mike Kinney of Ashtabula, OH, Tim Peterson of Wilcox, Tony Harris of Pallimant Port, PA, Nicole Spalding of Troy, Mike Eschrich of Mt Jewett, Mike McGee of Warsaw NY to be on hand along with possible entries of Mike Altobellie, Rick Singleton and Ashley Rowe.

Also on the program at Dog Hollow, will be the debut of the new United 4 Cylinder Series (U4CS).  The 20 lap event, paying $500 to win is the first of two 2018 “pilot” program events for the year leading up to several planned 2019 schedule dates.  “The goal of the 4 cylinder series is to give the low budget division a chance at some extra money races and eventurally in 2019 a little extra point fund to compete for, stated ULMS Series owner, Chris Zuver.”  “Also, this class is normally the class that runs last and nobody watches or people get up to use the restroom or get their burger and fries, but the 4 cylinder racers and most races are sometimes the best events of the night at any track that has them.”

Dog Hollow has a very solid field of cars weekly plus there will be some northern teams coming down from northern Pennsylvania and New York for this event.  A very good field of 4 cylinders are expected to be on hand for this first ever event plus take home that big $500 check they will receive in victory lane.
