The Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Model Series will make a stop along the Pennsylvania and Maryland border at Path Valley Speedway for the Night of Power and Hagerstown Speedway for the Nathan Durboraw Memorial. The two events will pay $3500 to win at Path Valley and a minimum of $5100 to win at Hagerstown.
Path Valley Speedway in Spring Run, Pennsylvania hosts the Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Model Series for the second time in series history on Friday night. Last years events saw the feature get rained out after Jamie Lathroum set the Integra Shocks Fast Time earlier in the evening. This being the one and only visit of the year for the super late models on the high bank ¼ mile oval. The 30 lap event will pay $3500 to the winner. Three wide racing will be seen all night long on the high banks and some of the regions top teams will be on hand including series point leader, Jared Miley, Rick Eckert, Dave Stamm and Danny Snyder.
Gates open at 5pm with ULMS registration beginning at 5pm with ULMS registration cut off at 630pm followed by driver meeting at 6:35PM at the ULMS Command Center and Integra Shocks Hot Lap Qualifying beginning around 7pm. Joining the ULMS Late Models will be the 305 Sprint cars and the modifieds. There is also a $100 award to the two highest finishing limited late model in the main event.
On Saturday, the Zimmer’s Service Center United Late Model Series will return to Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown Maryland for the 41 lap Nathan Durboraw Memorial. The winner purse is $4100 to win but with lap money and lap 41 paying $1000 to lead the final lap, the race winner will be guaranteed a minimum of $5100 to win in memory of one of the legends of Hagerstown Speedway racing lore. The event will pay $410 to start.
ULMS made its maiden visit last month to the Capitol of Dirt Track Racing, where Kyle Hardy won his second series event of the year and grabbed the guaranteed starting spot for Saturday’s Nathan Durboraw Memorial. Joining the ULMS stars of Miley, Gregg Satterlee, Eckert, Stamm and Snyder will be Hardy, Kyle Lee, Tylor Emory, Jason Covert, Jamie Lathroum, Roy Deese, Matt Cosner and many others from the mid Atlantic region will be on hand.
The Integra Shocks overall Fast time will receive $241 and each heat winner will receive $100. The Jay’s Auto Wrecking redraw will be replaced by Dash for Cash that will pay $500 to the winner and the remaining positions will pay $100 each. The Dash will set the starting spots for the 41 lap Nathan Durboraw Memorial. Lap money for laps 1-24 will pay $100 each and lap 25 will pay $125, lap 26 & 27 will pay $100, lap 28 will pay $141 and laps 29040 will pay $100 each. The final lap will pay an additional $1000 on top of the $4100 first place prize. The hard charger will receive $300 and the hard luck of the event will get $200. The top two finishing drivers in Rocket Chassis will receive an additional $250. Money from the 50/50 raffles and donations will go to Sleep Heavenly Peace of Hagerstown. There will also be twenty – $25 gas cards also given away.
Pits open at 430pm on Saturday with grandstands opening at 5pm. ULMS registration begins at 430pm with registration ending at 6:30PM and driver meeting at 6:35PM. Hot Laps begin at 7pm followed by ULMS Integra Shocks Qualifying after ULMS, Pure Stocks and Hobby Stock hot laps.
Purses for Path Valley Night of Power will be as follows: $3,500, $1700 $1200 $1000 $800 $750 $700 $650 $625 $600 $500 $400 $350 (13th -24th).
