The Mike Farr Memorial was held one week later than originally planned due to weather and Eriez Speedway was greeted by 31 Jays Automotive ULMS Late Model teams from five states.   The 41 lap event paying $4100 to win in memory of former Erie native and owner of Genesis Shocks who had helped many local and regional race teams in the western Pennsylvania region and others.  Mike passed away in 2015 after a battle with cancer.

Former ULMS champion, Mike Knight of Ripley NY found himself on the pole for the 41 lap event next to Norris who is driving for the 2022 ULMS champion car owner, Joe Corrado #10 Rocket.  Knight would take the initial lead and pace the field and keeping the #10 of Norris far enough behind him for the early part of the race.   Norris had pressure from former ULMS champions, Chub Frank and Dave Hess Jr for most of the first 20 laps.   Knight was looking good at maybe leading the entire distance but bad luck fell on Hollywood and his 9k machine on lap 23 with a right rear flat tire, handing the lead over to Norris with Chub and Hess now second and third.  Kyle Hardy of Virginia found himself in fourth from  his 12th place starting spot.  During the caution Andy Boozel who was running in the top 10 went pit side and was done for the evening also, while Knight returned to the tail of the field.

Norris restarted the field and kept the dirt late model Hall of Famer, Chub Frank behind him the final eighteen laps as the famous #1* closed in within a few car lengths as the hometown crowd was anticipating the legendary Chubzilla to pull off the win and his second Farr Memorial but The Crusher, Mike Norris held off Chub and a hard charging Dave Hess to capture his first Mike Farr Memorial.   Chub came home second fillowed by Hess, Hardy, Darrell Bossard who started 16th rounded out the top 5.

ULMS will be back in action on Friday July 21 at Path Valley Speedway for the Night of Power and the next night at Latrobe Speedway for a pair of $3500 to win events.
