It’s MEGA 100 WEEKEND at Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, West Virginia.   The big modified event will see the Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Models return the Bullring for a pair of events paying a combined $8,000 to win!   The ULMS Super 6 Late Models will make their 2019 season debut at at Tyler County with a pair of $1,000 to win events.

The ULMS Series will join the MEGA weekend for the final two nights of action on Friday and Saturday May 31 and June 1st.   Friday night will see the ULMS Late Models compete in a 30 lap $3000 to win event with Saturday’s $5,000 to win finale being a 40 lap main event.

Last year, Mike Benedum and Max Blair won the two Zimmer Service Center United Late Model Series events at the Bullring during the MEGA 100 weekend that saw race teams from five states on hand.

The Close Racing Supply ULMS Elite teams of Blair, Mike Wonderling, Jason Dobson, Mike Pegher, Michael Lake, John Weaver will all be on hand for this event.  They will faceoff the stiff competition of locals Kyle Thomas, Robbie Scott, Travis Brown, Brian Baumberger, Mike Basich, Steve Weigle, Derek Doll, and Henry Hornsby.  Other northern drivers that have indicated and are expected to be on hand are New Yorker’s, Greg Oakes, Zack Carley and Bryce Davis.

“We are excited to get back to Tyler County, stated ULMS Series owner, Chris Zuver.    The Watson’s have done some great stuff at Tyler County over the past few years and we are humbled and grateful to be part of one of their biggest weekends of the season during the Mega 100 Weekend.   I realize that the modified division is the highlight of the weekend but there is $8,000 up for grabs for the ULMS Late Models and that’s not bad money for two days of work.”

ULMS Racing Series procedures will be in place, which includes time trials, minimum 8 lap qualifying heat events, consolation events (if needed) and 30 lap main event. Time Trials per ULMS rules will be the following: 3 heats will be straight up; 4 heats will result in A&B group qualifying. If there are 4 heats or less, the top 2 heat finishers will redraw for their feature starting positions, otherwise, heat winner only will redraw (5 or 6 heats).

The ULMS Late Model Series tire rule is Hoosier 1300 or American Racer 44 or harder on all 4 corners. All late model teams must present their cars along with safety equipment (helmet and Hans device if they have not participated with ULMS in 2019 or entering a different car) at pre-race safety and car inspection.

Tyler County Speedway utilizes the yellow Westhold transponders for scoring and timing. Transponder rentals are available at Tyler County. Raceivers are mandatory during all Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Model Series action.

Pit Gates and ULMS registration and pill draw opens at 4PM with ULMS tech opening at the same time  and closes at 6pm. No cars will be allowed on the track before completing tech. ULMS Driver meeting and pill cut off will be at 6pm.  Followed by ULMS hot laps at 6:30PM.  ULMS Integra Shocks Qualifying Time Trials (2 cars at a time) will be held to determine the qualifying heat race lineups.  ULMS Entry Fee for the Friday night portion of the Mega 100 Weekend is $30.

On Saturday for the final day of the Mega 100 Weekend, the pits open at 3pm with ULMS registration and pill draw opening at the same time.  ULMS tech will also open at 3pm (all cars must go thru tech again).  Tech and registration/pill cut off is at 530pm which will also be same time as driver meeting.  Qualifying begins at 6pm on Saturday.   ULMS Entry Fee for the $5000 to win Saturday event will be $40.

Joining the Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Models during the MEGA 100 Weekend will be the Super6 Late Model Series.   The ¾ scale v6 powered dirt late model series will be making their first ULMS Series event at the Bullring and a good field of entrants are expected to kick off their 2019 season with Frank McFeathers, Levi Spinneweber, Curtis Stivason, Jason Willard, Ed Dunkel, Joseph Anderson, Nathan Mechling, Craig Cummings, Mat Cajka are few of the Super6 Late Model teams that will be tackling the ¼ mile Bullring of Tyler County Speedway.
