MAX BLAIR CLAIMS OVER $6K IN MCR FALL CLASSIC
McKean County Raceway came roaring back to life on Saturday afternoon for the first time in a year. The 10th annual MCR FALL CLASSIC took place featuring the Zimmers Service Center ULMS Late Models Series Jim and Mike Duffy Memorial. Centreville, Pennsylvania star, Max Blair captured his first Jim & Mike Duffy Memorial Fall Classic win and $5000. Blair win only capped off a wonderful night that saw him pick up an additional $1200 in the RUSH Crate Late Model Jason Dunham Memorial where he held off Eric Wilson late charge.
Other winners were Dan Davies in the Zimmer’s Service Center United Emod Series Rayce & Zoiee Zuver Memorial in memory of race promoter, Chris Zuver’s twins. Davies was chased by David Scott and survived a lap 9 red flag when the backstretch lights went out and a last lap restart to capture his first UEMS win of the year. Bob Connor of St. Mary’s dominated the 33 lap NEFF Landscaping Lee Anderson Memorial over Jason Dobson and Al Brewer. RJ Pistner of Weedville dominated the Matt Wheeler Memorial Pure Stock Feature over Josh Wilcox and Ryan Snyder. Tidioute driver, Andy Proper out raced Smethport’s Lindsey Carlson and Casey Burch in the Mike Reed Memorial for the Mini Stocks.
A total of 149 cars were on hand for the 10th annual MCR Fall Classic which was the tracks only event for the 2015 season as the track has sat idle all summer due to no lease holder. The Zimmer ULMS Racing Series crowned their season champions in South Park, PA driver, Jared Miley winning the ULMS Late Model title and the UEMS champion was Brent Rhebergen. It was the first series championship for both racers.
