Mason Lobb WINS United E-Mod Series “Night of Power” at Path Valley!

Frewsburg, New York native Mason Lobb won his first ever feature Saturday night piloting his #28 Lethal Chassis to Close Racing Supply Victory Lane with the United E-Mod Series at Path Valley Speedway in Spring Run, Pennsylvania.

 

The defending Champion running his second year straight on tour with the United E-Mod Series starts of hot with his first ever feature win! After seven straight rain outs and Latrobe Speedway’s June 7 event pushed off as a points night, Lobb comes out with the point lead and a career high $2,000.00 payday in the “Night of Power” Presented By Dr. Zachary Crouse! 

 

With twenty-two entries signed in for competition, the United E-Mod Series set out for Hot Lap Qualifying that saw Kirk Baker set quick time over George Dixon and Alyssa Cullum. With three heats for the evening,  UEMS Elite Driver “Spike” Moore picked up Heat race one over Kirk Baker! George Dixon Jr won heat two over third place starter Mason Lobb and Mitch Thomas!  Alyssa Cullum won heat three!.

 

Redraw saw Dixon pull the pole position with Lobb to line up on his outside to set the front row.   Dixon led the field to green in the thirty lap United E-Mod Series main event jumping out front over second running Lobb.  The race behind showed the third – sixth running side by side for the podium positions. Lobb pressured Dixon early on but with a softer tire choice faded as the laps winded down.   By lap seven, Dixon already found the tail end of the field putting cars a lap down and keeping lap cars now between him and second running Mason Lobb.  On lap nine the first of several cautions of night came out for the #66c of Jakob Maker who had spun around and came to a stop.  Back to green, the #25 of Matt Williamson and #56 of Todd Goss came together on lap eleven hooking the two cars together.  Lap sixteen the #51 of Mark Patterson spun to a stop in the bottom of turn three and four after contract with the #17.  A four car collision on lap nineteen in turn one and two resulted in the #17x of Darin Hoover exiting the track.  Dixon still maintaining his lead over Lobb and Alyssa Cullum fired into turn one seeing fourth place running #97 of Mitch Thomas and the Cullum make contact collecting the #44 of Sam Reeder.  Both Cullum and Reeder would be charged in the caution ending what was shaping up to be a podium finish for Cullum!  Dixon charged until heartbreak for the #77 team!  After leading twenty-nine of the thirty laps he experienced mechanical failure coming to the white flag. Limping the car around attempting to cross the finish line Dixon would relieve his race long lead finishing twelfth while Mason Lobb won his first ever feature event over Gregory “Spike” Moore and third place Mitch Thomas!

 

The United E-Mod Series next event is scheduled for the Keystone State of Pennsylvania Friday, August 1st, 2025 at Selinsgrove Speedway for a $2,000.00 to win event!
