Johnson WINS at Lernerville Speedway with the Elite Motorsports United E-Mod Series! Mason Lobb clinches 2024 Elite Motorsports United E-Mod Series Championship.

Sugar Grove, PA resident Troy Johnson picked up his second victory with the Elite Motorsports United E-Mod Series Saturday night, October 12th, 2024 at Lernerville Speedway in the “Steel City Stampede”.  A field of 18 Elite Motorsports United E-Mod Series entrants signed in to race at the Sarver, PA dirt oval alongside the Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series for the “Topless Ken Schaltenbrand Sr Memorial”.

Utilizing pill draw and passing points format, two eight lap United Construction & Pressure Washing  Heat Races were set for the tour to race on Friday, October 11th. Troy Johnson from the third position would cross the stripe first in heat race one after Cameron Nastasi and his #99 fell early to the tail position.  Ty Rhoades in his #12r Lethal Chassis sponsored by Elite Motorsports took home heat race two also from the third position in dominating fashion.  Passing Points put Johnson and Rhoades one and two for the redraw.  Johnson first up, took the number one pill right off the board.  Rhoades claimed the third position while Eric Reinwald was left with number two to complete the front row. Vinnie DePizzo had the lone four left for him on the table.  .

The 20 lap, $1,000.00 to win Elite Motorsports United E-Mod Series main event would take the green second in the program for the afternoon on Saturday.  Johnson led them to green while Rhoades and Lobb were quick to pick up positions.  By lap two, Tim Peterson would come to a stop in the bottom of turn four and the dreaded rainfall hit the speedway.  Series Director, Trevor Zuver and Lernerville Speedway Officials ushered the cars and teams outside while the rain shower passed over the speedway.  After a thirty minute intermission to get the track back in shape, Johnson would again lead the field to green out of four with Ty Rhoades and Eric Reinwald nipping at his bumper.  Rhoades would close the gap in two laps before bringing the caution out in the bottom of turn two.  With Rhoades to the tail, Johnson, Reinwald, and Lobb set the top three.  Lobb pursued until Reinwald eventually fell off the backside of the backstretch, relieving his second place position and falling back to nearly tenth.  Johnson continued to stretch out his lead and Rhoades drove back through the field.  At lap twenty, Johnson would cross the finish line first over now 2024 Elite Motorsports Champion, Mason Lobb in second, Vinnie DePizzo, Garrett Calvert, and Ty Rhoades who rallied back to fifth.

Mason Lobb picked up the 2024 Elite Motorsports United E-Mod Series Championship over the weekend as well.  It was a race that came down to the wire between the Lindemuth Laser Etching Elite Drivers of Lobb, DePizzo, Calvert, and Rhoades amongst others including Hauger, Gould, Bamettrzider, and Plance.  The young talent out of Frewsburg, NY piloted his #28 Lethal Chassis on Penske Shocks to the front all year with  multiple top ten’s and top fives finishing it off with podium finish on Saturday night.  Lobb ended the 2024 race season with 157 points!

The Elite Motorsports United E-Mod Series thank’s everyone that came out in support of Saturday’s event and the 2024 season.  We hope to see everyone at the speedway in 2025!
