The Zimmer’s Service Center United Late Model Series made its first visit in the series 22 year history to Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex Friday night. The 30 lap event in memory of track owner Rick Jones brother, Ernie Jones paying $3,500 to win.

Hardy and local hot shoe, Matt Cosner started on the front row for the Ernie Jones Memorial with Cosner grabbing the lead on the start using the outside lane with Hardy and Jacob Hawkins in third. Hardy and Cosner would run door to door as the pair rub a few times before Hardy taking over the top spot on lap 6. Hawkins was fending off the challenges of ULMS point leader Jared Miley and late model legend Eddie Carrier in the Cosner #66Jr.

With ten laps in the books Hardy opened some track on Cosner as Hawkins broke free from Miley. Jason Covert and Tyler Emory were now battling Carrier for fifth. The next few laps everyone swapped spots behind Hardy as Hawkins broke free into second and looked like he was going to run down the Virginia driver. Miley grabbed third as Cosner started to fall back and was being challenged by his teammate Carrier.
With five laps to go , Covert would make his way to fifth as Cosner fell to 6th and Carrier was now fourth. The only caution came out on lap 26 for the #32 of Travis Stickley. This would bunch the field up with a Delaware restart giving Hawkins, Miley and others one last shot at Hardy. On the restart, Miley used the outside lane to dispose of Hawkins to grab second, Covert grabbed fourth behind Carrier. Hawkins fell to fifth with two to go only to lose that position on the last lap to Ryan Montgomery. At the finish it was Kyle Hardy, Jared Miley, Eddie Carrier, Jason Covert, Montgomery your top five.

The ULMS Late Models will now head to Selinsgrove Speedway for the 24th annual Late Model National Open paying $5000 to win this evening.
