The Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Model Series will see three main events in two days this coming weekend at Genesee Speedway and Old Bradford Speedway. Nine thousand dollars are up for grabs in the three events paying $3000 each to win.
Saturday night will see the Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Model Series returning to Genesee Speedway in Batavia NY at the Genesee County Fairgrounds. The ULMS Late Model Series will have two 30 lap, $3000 to win features during the evening. The first feature is the makeup feature of the July 4th Hell Tour Speedweek event which will be the third of four for the ULMS mini series . A complete ULMS series program of Integra Shocks qualifying, heat events and 30 lap main event will be held as well.
Max Blair and Mike Wonderling Jr., currently sit one – two in the series point standings and will be the front row for the makeup feature followed by Bryce Davis, David Scott, Mike Pegher, Chub Frank, Greg Oakes, Nathan Hill, Bob Dorman, Mike Smith, Dave Dubois, Al Brewer and Jason Dobson.
Joining the Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Models will be the ULMS Super 6 Late Model Series as they make their first ever appearance in New York. Levi Spinneweber, Mike Spinneweber, Frank McFeathers, Curtis Stivason, Nathan Mechling, Ed Dunkle, Mat Cajka, Jason Willard, Charlie Buttermore, and Shane Spinneweber will all be on hand with their ¾ scale v6 powered late models.
ULMS Late Model race teams are reminded that Genesee Speedway uses the MyLaps/AMB transponder system for scoring and timing. Pits open at 4pm with grandstands opening at 5pm. Tentatively, the ULMS driver meeting and registration cut off will be at 530pm. ULMS pre race tech closes at 5:45pm. All on track activities begin at 6pm.
On Sunday, the Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Model Series head to Old Bradford Speedway in Rew, PA for the second time on the year. The 3rd annual Battle of the Bullring will see the ULMS stars going 40 laps on the ¼ mile bullring for $3000.
Past winners, Boom Briggs and Max Blair will both be on hand for the event along with Mike Wonderling, Jason Dobson, David Scott, Greg Oakes, Nathan Hill, Bob Dorman, Doug Eck and Bryce Davis who won the ULMS Hell Tour kick off last month at Bradford. No crate late models will be allowed to run this event as the crate late models have their own special memorial event during the nights racing action at Bradford.
Pits open at 3pm on Sunday with grandstands opening at 4pm. ULMS Registration and driver meeting will close at 5:40pm with ULMS pre race tech ending at 545pm. On track action will begin at 6pm. ULMS will be using the yellow Westhold Transponders on Sunday at Old Bradford Speedway. Raceivers are mandatory during all Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Model Series action.
ULMS Racing Series procedures will be in place, which includes time trials, minimum 8 lap qualifying heat events, consolation events (if needed) and 30 lap main event (exception for Bradford being 40 laps). Time Trials per ULMS rules will be the following: 3 heats will be straight up; 4 heats will result in A&B group qualifying. If there are 4 heats or less, the top 2 heat finishers will redraw for their feature starting positions, otherwise, heat winner only will redraw (5 or 6 heats).
The ULMS Late Model Series tire rule is Hoosier 1300 or American Racer 44 or harder on all 4 corners. All late model teams must present their cars along with safety equipment (helmet and Hans device if they have not participated with ULMS in 2019 or entering a different car) at pre-race safety and car inspection.
No cars will be allowed on the track before completing tech. Any driver late for tech will have only their first lap in qualifying will count once they complete and pass pre-race tech.
ULMS Integra Shocks Qualifying Time Trials (2 cars at a time) will be held to determine the qualifying heat race lineups. ULMS Entry Fee for each Hell Tour event is $40.
