Chew on This-Jerky Rookie of The Race – Colton Flinner

He may not be a rookie in the ranks of regional racing nor at the famed “Monster Dirt Half-Mile” of Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway but the #48 Longhorn Chassis piloted by none other than Pittsburgh’s own Colton Flinner claimed the award and here’s why.

Flinner signed onto the 2024 Lindemuth Laser Etching Elite Driver Program to contend for the Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series Championship as well as the Chew on This – Jerky Rookie of the Year Award.  Coming out of Saturdays sixth place finish in the United Late Model Series “Pot of Gold – 75”, Flinner finds himself in a three way tie for fifth in points alongside other series regular and Lindemuth Laser Etching Elite Driver Michael Lake of Uniontown, PA as well as the talented central Pennsylvania driver Dylan Yoder of Middleburg, PA.

With a complete team change in the 2023 off season, new and old equipment as well as multiple other overcomings it would appear that Flinner has his eyes set on Gold for 2024 with his crew.  The #48 team definitely will be one to watch in 2024.
