Carpenter Captures His First United Late Model Series Victory In Over Two Years In Country Roads 30 Over Levi Yetter & Ryan Montgomery!

For Immediate Release: August 30, 2026

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – Parkersburg, West Virginia’s Tyler Carpenter scored his first Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series Presented by M&T Appliances victory of the 2026 season Saturday night at Tyler County Speedway, capturing the $5,000-to-win Country Roads 30 in a near disastrous end when his right rear tire blew apart coming to the checkered flag.

A strong field of 37 Super Late Models signed in for competition at America’s Baddest Bullring, with the pit area packed with United Late Model Series Elite Drivers, Chew On This – Jerky Rookie contenders, and competitors representing several states.

Preliminary action the night before had already set much of the field, leaving just two B-Mains and the 30-lap, $5,000-to-win Country Roads 30 to be contested Saturday. Once the B-Mains were complete, the United Late Model Series field rolled onto the high banks at approximately 9:30 p.m. for the main event.

Carpenter wasted little time putting the #28 out front at the drop of the green flag, but Ryan Montgomery and Levi Yetter remained within striking distance and continued to apply pressure to the Parkersburg native.

The first caution of the event came on lap nine when the #14 of Corey Conley came to a halt in turn two following apparent contact.

The field was slowed again on lap 12 when the #47 of Brandon Weigle spun in turns three and four, collecting the #27 of Michael Lake and #57 of Kyle Thomas. Thomas would ultimately retire from the event.

On the ensuing restart, Yetter worked his way into the runner-up position and immediately began closing in on Carpenter’s #28. Behind the leaders, the action intensified as a hornet’s nest developed throughout the field, with competitors battling three- and four-wide around the Tyler County Speedway bullring.

With the laps winding down, Billy Brown brought out another caution on lap 21 when he spun in turn two directly in front of the leaders as they battled three-wide for the top spot.

On the restart, Brock Pinkerous charged his #555 into the top five before making contact with the outside wall exiting turn two, dropping him back to approximately the tenth position.

Out front, Yetter continued to chip away at Carpenter’s advantage as the laps clicked away.

As Carpenter came off turn four toward the checkered flag, the right-rear tire on his #28 came apart at the flagstand. Carpenter managed to hold on just long enough to cross the stripe and secure the victory, narrowly avoiding disaster in the final feet of the 30-lap affair.

The victory marked Carpenter’s fourth career United Late Model Series triumph and his first of the 2026 season, sending him back to Close Racing Supply Victory Lane with a $5,000 payday.

More importantly, Carpenter’s Country Roads 30 victory also secured him a guaranteed starting spot in the Second Annual Country Roads 100, where $20,000 awaits the winner Sunday night at Tyler County Speedway.
