Drellos Suspended From United Late Model Series Competition Following May 8, 2026 Incident

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – The Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series Presented By M&T Appliances has announced the immediate suspension of driver Demetrious Drellos, driver of the #111 machine from Queensbury, New York, following an incident during the 5th Annual Ted Siri Memorial on May 8, 2026 at Outlaw Speedway in Dundee, New York.
During a caution period, Drellos made contact with the left rear tire of the #555 machine of Brock Pinkerous, resulting in both competitors being unable to continue competition.
As a result of the incident, Drellos has been suspended from the next three United Late Model Series sanctioned events or may satisfy the penalty through a payable fine of $1,000.00. The penalty stems directly from Section 12.3 – A – ii) of the 2026 United Late Model Series Rule Book under the series Code of Conduct policies.
The United Late Model Series further stated that any second offense of a similar nature will result in an immediate suspension for the remainder of the 2026 season along with an additional immediate fine.
