Zeigler Goes Back To Back In The “Labor Day 55”!

Chalk Hill, Pennsylvania native Mason Ziegler piloted his #25z Rocket Chassis to Close Racing Supply Victory Lane for the second year in a row Friday night, August 30, 2024 at Bedford Speedway with the Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series in the “37th Annual Labor Day 55”.

With 40 entries, the Jay’s United Late Model Series set out for Lindemuth Laser Etching Qualifying that saw Bryan Bernheisel set fast time of Group A in his #119 Lazer Chassis.  Just Weaver set fast time in Group B in his #2J Longhorn Chassis.  West Virginia native, Travis Stickley would claim Rocket Chassis heat race number one, Dan Angelicchio picked up Keizer Racing Wheel heat race number two.  Mason Zeigler won Swift Springs heat three and Jeff Rine grabbed Beyea Headers heat four. Two United Construction & Pressure Washing B-Mains followed advancing the top three in each.  Kyle Lee and Dylan Yoder would cross the line first.  Three Rivers Karting & Entertainment Park redraw put Keyser, WV’s Travis Stickley and Danville, PA’s Jeff Rine on the front row.

Stickley would jump out the early lead and maintain until heartbreak late in the race saw a flat tire end his night and a shot at the $12,055.00 top prize.  Satterlee, Lee, Yoder, and Sponaugle were all on move advancing nine or more positions by the end of the race.  When it came to conclusion, it would be Mason Zeigler winning the “37th Annual Labor Day 55” with the Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series over second running Gregg Satterlee, third Max Blair, fourth Kyle Lee, and rounding out the top five was Dylan Yoder.

The Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series thanks everyone that came out in support of the “37th Annual Labor Day 55” event at Bedford Speedway in wake of immense precipitation the day prior.  It was the largest car count for not only Bedford Speedway but the United Late Model Series as well for 2024.  You can see the Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series next at Lernerville Speedway on Saturday, August 31st for the “topless Ken Schaltenbrand Sr Memorial” paying $4,500.00 to the victor plus the Elite Motorsports United E-Mod Series.
