Topless 30 Rescheduled Saturday, August 10, 2024!
After two cancellations due to weather in May, the “Topless 30” at Tyler County has now found its third date on the 2024 Elite Motorsports United E-Mod Series schedule in August. Again a lone event, for the series that weekend as it was previously scheduled, it will still be paired up with the 30th Annual “Topless 50” sanctioned by the Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series giving not only the Lindemuth Laser Etching Elite Teams on tour, but the locals a greater promotional stage for their teams and marketing sponsors.
The 30 lap topless main event will now take place on Saturday, August 10, 2024 and will pay a minimum of $1,500.00 to win and $200.00 to start. A staple for all United E-Mod Series events that was instilled in 2024 was a point of $200.00 to start events. Series CEO Trevor Zuver hopes teams begin to take notice of the increased purses being put together on the tour allowing it to flourish moving forward for the teams to be giving larger paying events and more venues!
With the rescheduling of the event, it is expected that all 10 Lindemuth Laser Ethcing Elite Teams will be present! May 26ths event saw trouble for a few teams as they had to submit for hardship waivers on the event. Tim Gould and his #2G was unable to finish the drive as their trailer had multiple blowouts on the way to the speedway, Gould was able to limp the hauler back to their race shop safely and made it out the next event at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway. JJ Bametzreider hauls alongside Gould and had to return with him. The young talent from Frewsburg, New York Mason Lobb and his #28 Lethal Chassis did as well with loss in family. The #7 of Coleton Longwell had to sit home as he was still waiting on engine parts to rebuild their power plant that let go at an unsanctioned event at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex previous to this event. All other teams that were in attendance received 5 show up points for the then canceled event.
Topless 30 Purse: 1.] $1,500.00 2.] $1,200.00 3.] $1,000.00 4.] $750.00 5.] $600.00 6.] $500.00 7.] $450.00 8.] $400.00 9.] $375.00 10.] $350.00 11.] $250.00 12.] $225.00 13-20.] $200.00
