Taylor Takes First Elite Motorsports United E-Mod Series Victory of 2024!

 

Saltsburg, Pennsylvania resident Jonathan Taylor took home the second richest UMP Modifed event in the state of Pennsylvania scheduled for the 2024 season last Thursday.  Not only was it the richest race on tour for the Elite Motorsports United E-Mod Series, but it was the first points race the tour has been able to put on due to the tremendous amount of rain showers leading up to what was finally the opening event of the year!

 

For the first time in 2024, weather was not a factor and it showed in Thursday’s program at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway when the Elite Motorsports United E-Mod Series coincided with the 410 Western PA Speedweek. Eight Lindemuth Laser Etching Elite Drivers looked to claim their first points victory with the series in 2024, a record following for the tour in its first year back to full points racing.  Thursday’s rescheduled program saw 26 entrants with one eventually leaving the event due to not passing the Elite Motorsports United E-Mod Series UMP DirtCar pre-race technical inspection.

 

Running second in the program for the evening, it appeared the Elite Motorsports United E-Mod Series event was one to watch with incredible racing taking place behind the leader and then victor Jonathan Taylor.  Two teams were unable to make the call for the main event, Lindemuth Laser Etching Elite Driver JJ Bamettzrieder and Lance Elson.  The event utilized a time trial qualifying format as nearly all Elite Motorsports United E-Mod Series event’s will in 2024, consisted of three heat races and a then shortened 25 lap main event!

 

The Elite Motorsports United E-Mod Series thank’s everyone that came out in support of Thursday’s rescheduled event!  Without your support events such as these cannot happen.  With one event finally in the record books once again, the UMP DirtCar Sanctioned Elite Motorsports United E-Mod Series moves onto Lernerville Speedway and Hummingbird Speedway in July for a pair of $1,000.00 to win and $200.00 to start events.
