The Jay’s Automotive ULMS Late Model Series rolled into Lernverville Speedway for the Willie and Conda McConnell Memorial paying $4000 to the winner.  Thirty nine late models from six states and Canada entering the pits Friday night with Alex Ferree setting Lindemuth Laser Etching fast time and Gregg Satterlee repeating his 2022 McConnell Memorial win at the conclusion of the evening.

The 30 lap Willie and Conda McConnell Memorial saw New York and Ohio drivers, Dylan Cecce and Doug Drown on the front row.  At the start it was Drown getting the edge over the Jays Auto Wrecking ULMS Elite driver Cecce to lead the first two laps when the first caution flew.

The restart saw third place running Chub Frank bolt around Cecce and Drown to take over the top spot and quickly started to pull away from the field.  Seventh place starting Gregg Satterlee was up to fourth, with Alex Ferree in fifth followed by Michael Norris in the Corrado owned #10 Rocket.

As the race went on, Chubzilla was looking like the Hall of Famer that would dominate every visit to Sarver as Satterlee was chasing down the famous 1* machine.   A lap 18 caution would slow the event and allow Satterlee and rest of the field to close up on Chub erasing his lead.   The restart would see Satterlee take over the top spot from Chub and he immediately started to pull away.  Alex Ferree was now challenging Frank for the runner up position and trying to keep the Truth in striking distance.  A late race caution would give the field one more shot at Satterlee but the Rochester Mills, PA driver had them all covered with Ferree keeping Frank behind him for second and third.  Mason Zeigler quietly worked his way to fourth at the checkers from his 11th place starting spot and Dylan Yoder came home fifth in his first ever visit to Lernerville.

The Jay’s Automotive ULMS Late Model Series will be back in action Friday June 2 at Big Diamond Speedway for a $3500 to win event.
