SELINSGROVE SPEEDWAY, Pa. – The super late model division is celebrating 60 years at Selinsgrove Speedway this season and will return at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 16, in the Zimmer’s Service Center United Late Model Series (ULMS) 30-lap Spring Championship paying $4,000 to win on Performance Food Group Night!
Joining the super late models will be the Apache Tree Service PASS/IMCA 305 sprint cars and A&A Auto Stores roadrunners in the second three-division racing program of the season.
The 30-lap Spring Championship race will offer a $17,000-plus purse for the super late models. Integra Shocks Hot Lap Qualifying and eight-lap heat races will be the qualifying format.
Gregg Satterlee of Rochester Mills won the ULMS-sanctioned race last year at the track. He was one of seven different winners in as many races at Selinsgrove in 2021. Bryan Bernheisel of Lebanon won this year’s 60th late model season opener on April 2 over his father Jim Bernheisel. B. Bernheisel also scored an opening day win in 2018, the year he clinched his first track championship.
Satterlee leads the current 2022 ULMS points over Rick Eckert, Tyler Emory, 2015 ULMS Champion Jared Miley and Jason Covert round out the top five in ULMS points. Chew on This Jerky Rookie of Year contender Colton Flinner sits sixth in points with one win on the 2022 ULMS season along with Satterlee and Eckert.
