The 2022 Zimmer’s Service Center ULMS Late Model Series 2022 season point fund and champion will see an increase from the original released point fund announced in January.  Also, Jay’s Auto Wrecking will award $100 to worse redraw number chosen at each event.

The 2022 Zimmer’s Service Center United Late Model Series champion will be awarded $10,000. An increase of $2,500 from the previous announced amount.   Second place will pay $5,500 which is a $1,500 increase from January’s original announcement.  Third place in points will pay $3,000 with fourth and fifth place in points paying $2,000 and $1500.

With the announcement of scrapping the scramble for 2022 to reset the top qualifying positions and returning to the original redraw system that the series has used for many years.  “Charlie Bauer of Jay’s Auto Wrecking came to me about increasing the point fund and he sponsored the scramble last year and thought of the idea of awarding the last redraw position the $100 that was given to the overall scramble winner last year, stated United Late Model Series owner, Chris Zuver.”

“Nobody wants the last redraw spot, so hopefully a $100 bill helps out with the Jay’s Auto Wrecking Unlucky Dog Award.   Same with a broken vehicle, nobody wants that, but buying parts from Jay’s Auto Wrecking helps that situation a little also, stated Charlie Bauer, President of Jay’s Auto Wrecking of Edinboro, Pennsylvania.”

“Charlie Bauer loves dirt late model racing and is a supporter of 2015 series champion, Jared Miley along with three time series champion Mike Knight and Michael Norris. Jay’s Auto Wrecking supports one of our supporting tracks in Eriez Speedway also and we are pleased and grateful to have Charlie, Lexie and the entire Jay’s Auto Wrecking team a part of the Zimmer Service Center United Late Model Series family and the all new Jay’s Auto Wrecking Unlucky Dog Award that will show case the business name at each event.”

Jay’s Auto Wrecking, President, Charlie Bauer stated, “Chris has really stuck it out over the years and his passion for dirt late models is almost as much as my love for late model racing. We are both passionate about this class of race cars and the ULMS series has grown over the past five years extensively, stated Charlie Bauer. Every driver hates pulling a pill and even when you have a very good car and a bad redraw can end your chances at winning even before the green flag drops, but at the same time we all realize the sport is about excitement for the fans and the poor driver pulls the worse pill in the redraw gets a little cash reward now, well that will help ease the pain some and if they win, well the fans get to witness some great racing on top of it.  Everybody wins, including the track.  Our business and the ULMS Late Model Series serves the same area of the tri state region for marketing each of our product to customer base in this region.”

Bauer continued, “Jay’s Auto is extremely happy to support the United Late Model Series in 2022. We’ve supported the exciting sport of super late model racing for years and with the internet, Jay’s ships parts all over the region where holds events! It’s a perfect marriage for our company.”
