The Zimmer’s Service Center ULMS Late Model Series will make their first visit of the year to both Bedford Speedway and Port Royal Speedway for a $7000 to win weekend.   The Bedford date was added few months ago when the Bedford County Fair was postponed due to Covid 19.  With the fair not happening this week, the Bedford Summer Fest was added with $4000 going to the winner Friday night.   Port Royal Speedway added the ULMS Late Model Series on Saturday in part of the tracks 14th annual Living Legends Dream Race that featuring the 410 sprint cars.  The ULMS teams will be competing for $3000 at the Speed Palace on Saturday night.

Teenager, Drake Troutman will lead the Bedford Speedway faithful up against the ULMS stars of Max Blair, Wyatt Scott, Doug Eck David Scott and Jason Dobson. Joining Troutman will be past champion Jeff Rine, Nathan Lasalle, Matt Sponaugle, Dylan Yoder, Tim Smith, Wayne Johnson, Bryan Bernheisel, Matt Cosner and many other in the 40 lap event that pays $400 to start.

Saturday, the ULMS Late Models will invade the Speed Palace at Port Royal Speedway for the first time this year.  The series was suppose to been at Port Royal in March in part of its Kickoff weekend prior to the Covid19 shutdowns.   New ULMS point leader and defending two time series champion, Max Blair picked up his first ever Port Royal win last September.  Wyatt Scott will be making his first ever visit to Port Royal and the young Scott has been very good the past few weeks at tracks in the north and in central PA area.  Joining the ULMS contingent will be Port Royal’s point leader, Colton Flinner along with Trevor Feathers, Andy Haus, Yoder, Mike Lupfer, Dillan Stake, Gary Stuhler will all be on hand along with Jason Covert, Kyle Knapp, Kyle Lee, Nick Dickson, and Austin Berry.  The 30 lap main event at Port Royal Saturday night will be the first of three ULMS events scheduled in the next two months at Port Royal.

Max Blair is the current series point leader and is also the Jay Auto Wrecking Fast Time of Year point leader.   Jason Dobson is on top of the 2R Excavating Hard Charger of the Year point chase over Blair and Wyatt Scott is currently your Chew on This Jerky Rookie of the Year point leader over Dobson and Scaife.

Gates open Friday night at 5pm for Bedford Speedway, with Driver Meeting and Registration closing at 6:40PM.  ULMS Hot Laps will be at 7pm with ULMS Integra Shock Qualifying beginning at 7:30pm.  Grandstand Admission is $20, Kids 12 and under are Free, and all Pit Passes are $30.  The ULMS Entry Fee is $50.   Bedford uses the Mylaps transponder system for all timing and scoring.

Gates open at 4pm on Saturday at Port Royal Speedway with racing beginning at 7pm.  Grandstand admission is $30 with Students charged $15 and all pit passes are $40.  The ULMS Entry Fee is $50 for the event that also features the 410 sprint cars running for $10,000.   In conjunction with Port Royal Speedway in this event, ULMS time trials will be GROUP HOT LAP TIME TRIALS.  Port Royal Speedway utilizes the Mylaps transponder system for all timing and scoring.  ULMS Registration cut off, Driver Meeting and Hot Lap Qualifying times will be announced later this week.

It is recommended that all teams, please print off the new 2020 ULMS Registration form from the website at http://ulmsracing.com/ulms-driver-registration/ to speed up the process and help limit overcrowding and keep the social distancing as much as possible. ULMS Entry Fee will be $50 for both events and the series ask please bring correct change if possible to limit exposure and stick with the CDC guidelines as much as possible.

ULMS Racing Series procedures will be in place, which includes time trials, minimum 8 lap qualifying heat events, consolation events (if needed) and main event. Time Trials per ULMS rules will be the following: 3 heats will be straight up; 4 heats will result in A&B group qualifying. If there are 4 heats or less, the top 2 heat finishers will redraw for their feature starting positions, otherwise, heat winner only will redraw (5 or 6 heats). The ULMS Late Model Series tire rule is Hoosier 1300 or American Racer 44 or harder on all 4 corners. All late model teams must present their cars along with safety equipment at pre-race safety and car inspection. No cars will be allowed on the track before completing tech.

Drivers who are late and are more than 1 car out of order for qualifying will only receive one (1) lap in qualifying. If qualifying is A-B group qualifying and car is not in group assigned, then no time will be recorded (Group A qualifies with Group A. etc). Drivers who fail to arrive in lineup in time will start scratch in the event and must past tech in lineup area. (heat, consi or feature). ULMS Integra Shocks Qualifying Time Trials will be held to determine the qualifying heat race lineup.
