The Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Model Series and teams heat to Eriez Speedway for the 4th annual Mike Farr Memorial. The event in memory of the former co-owner of Genesis Shocks and former Erie, PA resident that called Eriez his home track will have more than $3400 in lap money along with the 41 lap main event paying $4100 to win.  The evening is presented by Genesis Shocks and Cloud 9 Wine and Bar.

Doug Eck of Corry, PA is the current ULMS point leader and is still looking for his first career ULMS win. He holds a slim 2 point lead over Wyatt Scott of Garland, who picked up his first career ULMS win last Sunday night at Bradford. Them two drivers along with last year’s Mike Farr Memorial winner Greg Oakes, Jason Dobson, Doug Drown Mike Wonderling, David Scott, Steve Scaife and Mike Pegher will lead the ULMS contingent against the tough Eriez faithful.

Eriez top cars of Steve Kania, Darrell Bossard, Chad Wright, Chris Hackett, Bump Hedman along with past ULMS champions that call Eriez home, Dave Hess Jr., Mike Knight, Chub Frank and defending two time series champion Max Blair, wo won the 2018 Farr Memorial will all be tough to beat on their home track. Throw in 2017 Farr Memorial winner, Jared Miley, Alex Ferree, Colton Flinner and you have a full star studded field of race cars on hand.

The evening kicks off with the Keyser Manufacturing Qualifying  hot lap time trials presented by Jays Auto Wrecking which has a mini point fund at end of the year. Currently Mike Pegher and Doug Eck are tied early on in the season for the Jays Auto Wrecking Quick time of the year award. Mike Knight currently holds the 2R Excavating Hard Charger of the Year point lead over Blair and Michael Lake, The overall Hard Charger of the Year will receive $500 from 2R Excavating of Angelica NY.  The  overall fast qualifer will receive $200 from SSR Race Car & Parts of Spring Valley, Wisconsin.

Mylaps transponders and westhold transponders system will be used for all timing and scoring. ULMS Racing Series procedures will be in place, which includes time trials, minimum 8 lap qualifying heat events, consolation events (if needed) and 41 lap main event. Time Trials per ULMS rules will be the following: 3 heats or less will be straight up; 4 heats will result in A&B group qualifying. If there are 4 heats or less, the top 2 heat finishers will redraw for their feature starting positions, otherwise, heat winner only will redraw (5 or 6 heats). The ULMS Late Model Series tire rule is Hoosier 1300 or American Racer 44 or harder on all 4 corners. All late model teams must present their cars along with safety equipment at pre-race safety and car inspection. No cars will be allowed on the track before completing tech.

Drivers who are late and are more than 1 car out of order for qualifying will only receive one (1) lap in qualifying. If qualifying is A-B group qualifying and car is not in group assigned, then no time will be recorded (Group A qualifies with Group A. etc). Drivers who fail to arrive in lineup in time will start scratch in the event and must pass tech in lineup area. (heat, consi or feature). ULMS Keyser Manufacturing Qualifying Time Trials presented by Jays Auto Wrecking will be held to determine the qualifying heat race lineups.

Pits open at 4pm while ULMS registration will open at 415pm with ULMS tech opening at 415pm. It is recommended that all teams, please print off the new 2020 ULMS Registration form from the website at http://ulmsracing.com/ulms-driver-registration/ to speed up the process and help limit overcrowding and keep the social distancing as much as possible. ULMS Registration will end and driver meeting will be at 6pm at the ULMS Command Center with ULMS tech ending at 6pm. ULMS Keyser Manufacturing Qualifying is tentatively schedule after the first set of heat races of the evening. ULMS Entry Fee will be $50 for the event and the series ask please bring correct change if possible to limit exposure and stick with the CDC guidelines as much as possible. Eriez Speedway utilizes the AMB/MyLaps and Westhold Transponder system for timing and scoring.
