The 20th anniversary season continues to grow as the Zimmer Service Center United Late Model Series has added the 4th annual Mike Farr Memorial to the ULMS North Region schedule. The 41 lap event paying $4100 to win will be held again at the Alexander family Eriez Speedway on Sunday July 5th.
Mike Farr passed away in October 2016 after courageous battle with cancer. The former co-owner of Genesis Shocks was huge supporter of his former hometown track, Eriez Speedway and avid supporter of the ULMS Late Model Series from the early beginning of the series 20 year history.
“I want to thank Dave Alexander for having our series back to Eriez for this event in memory of Mike, stated ULMS Series owner, Chris Zuver. Bobbie Farr, Mike Lutz, Bruce Hordusky and everyone at Genesis Shocks have been a great supporter and friend of our series and my family over the years and to be back and be a small part of this event in honor of Mike is very special to me and our series.”
Jared Miley, Max Blair and Greg Oakes have won the three previous Mike Farr Memorials at Eriez Speedway with Miley and Blair’s wins being under the ULMS banner. Oakes win last July was his biggest career win as he collected a lion’s share of the huge amount of lap money that was involved. `
The Mike Farr Memorial completes a three day holiday weekend for the Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Model Series as it is preceded before with the USMC Corporal Jason Dunham Memorial at Freedom Motorsports Park and $4000 4th of July extravaganza at Stateline Speedway the night before the Mike Farr Memorial.
