The ULMS Racing Series is proud to announce their new partnership with California-based company, Chew On This Jerky.  Chew On This Jerky will present the 2020 Rookie of the Year for the 2020 Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Model Series.

“Chew on This Jerky owner Eric Bowlus and I had a conversation this past week in regard to Chew On This Jerky joining the ULMS family in some sort of capacity for the upcoming season,” stated ULMS Series owner, Chris Zuver.  “With ULMS having two regions in the upcoming 2020 season, we will have two separate championship point races, which means we will also have possibly two separate Rookie of Year winners.”

The two regions (north and south) will award $750 to that regions Zimmer’s Service Center ULMS Rookie of Year presented by Chew On This Jerky.   If a driver competes in both regions, and is eligible for the Rookie of Year program, they could win both regions Rookie of Year.

Eligibility for the Chew On This Jerky ULMS Rookie of Year are as follows:  

A. Must register with ULMS before the first event of the season.
B. Driver MUST have never won a ULMS feature event or won a super late model race worth more than $3000.
C. ULMS ―Rookie of the Year points will count at all point events in their selected regions for 2020. 
D. Upon registering for ULMS Rookie of the Year, driver may not compete for Rookie of the Year in future racing seasons.
E. Driver(s) Selected as ULMS Rookie of the Year will be determined by highest finish in points  (in each region) and declared Rookie of the Year at end of season banquet.

Chew On This Jerky is owned by Eric and Grace Bowlus of Corona California.   2020 is entering their second year in marketing their product in the motorsports world as in 2019 they were the primary partnership with Thunder Mountain Speedway, Richmond Raceway, Ultimate Mid Ohio and Northeast Late Model Series and 2016 and 2017 Zimmer’s Service Center ULMS Late Model Series Champion, Dave Hess Jr.  The veteran owned company will no doubt be involved in the annual ULMS sanctioned USMC Corporal Jason Dunham Memorial that will be held on Friday, July 3rd at Freedom Motorsports Park.
