
The Zimmer Service Center United Late Model Series will make their inaugural debut to Clinton County Motor Speedway in Mill Hall, Pennsylvania on Friday night. The $3000 to win main event will be a 30 lapper for the northern Pennsylvania based ULMS series.
The Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Models will be led by current point leader and defending series champion, Max Blair of Centerville, PA. Blair is the only multi winner on the series tour in 2019, which has seen seven different winners in the nine events held. Joining Blair will be Close Racing Supply ULMS Elite drivers, Mike Wonderling Jr of Wellsville NY who currently sits second in points, Jason Dobson of Ceres, NY currently in third and Mike Pegher Jr of Corapolis, Pennsylvania driving the famous #1c Cochran Automotive, Lynn Geisler owned machine.
Other notables who have notified ULMS series officials that they will be on hand are Jon Rohacevich of Grand Forge, PA, Dillan Stake of Three Springs, Pennsylvania, Bryan Bernheisel of Lebanon, PA and the A-Train, Alex Ferree of Saxonburg, PA are all confirmed to be on hand. Other notables expected are the father and son duo of Dylan and Jim Yoder, Coleby Frye and Luke Hoffner.
ULMS Racing Series procedures will be in place, which includes hot laps, time trials, minimum 8 lap qualifying heat events, consolation events (if needed) and 30 lap main event. Time Trials per ULMS rules will be the following: 3 heats will be straight up; 4 heats will result in A&B group qualifying. If there are 4 heats or less, the top 2 heat finishers will redraw for their feature starting positions, otherwise, heat winner only will redraw (5 or 6 heats).
The ULMS Late Model Series tire rule is Hoosier 1300 or American Racer 44 or harder on all 4 corners. All late model teams must present their cars along with safety equipment (helmet and Hans device if they have not participated with ULMS in 2019 or entering a different car) at pre-race safety and car inspection.
Clinton County Motor Speedway utilizes the AMB/Mylaps Transponder for a qualifying and scoring. All teams must present their transponder number to series/track officials upon registration. Raceivers are mandatory during all Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Model Series action and the 454.000 default will be used at Clinton County on Friday evening.
No cars will be allowed on the track before completing tech. Any driver late for tech will get one lap in qualifying once they complete and pass pre-race tech. ULMS Integra Shocks Qualifying Time Trials (2 cars at a time) will be held to determine the qualifying heat race lineups. ULMS Entry Fee will be $40 for all participants.
All gates open at 5pm at Clinton County Motor Speedway on Friday. ULMS Series driver meeting is tentatively schedule at 6:40PM. Registration and pre race tech is schedule to be closed at 6:40 pm also. Hot Laps will begin at 7PM with opening ceremonies beginning at 7:30pm.
