The Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Model Series kicked off the Labor Day weekend at Port Royal Speedway for night one of the Juanita County Fair and it featured the 15th annual Butch Renninger Memorial paying $4333 to win.  A great field of 41 cars were on hand.

Ross Robinson of Georgetown, Delaware, took the lead at the start of the Butch Renninger Memorial 33 for ULMS late models from outside front row starter Roy Deese and held sway for the first 16 laps, driving uncontested for the lead until disaster struck in the second turn.

As Robinson set his car into the corner, he clouted the outside wall and lost a wheel, which turned the point over to Tyler Bare who was running a close second at the time. Bare had started sixth in the field and took second from Roy Deese Jr. on the ninth tour.

Bare jetted away on the restart and had a straightaway lead with nine laps to go while Deese and Jeff Rine battled for second. Late in the race, Jason Covert got by Rine for third and battled with Deese for second before again losing the spot to Rine.

Bare ended up winning his first career Port Royal event and his first Zimmer Service Center ULMS Racing Series win by 7.052 seconds over Deese with Rine finishing third followed by Covert and 17th starter Kyle Hardy in fifth. Sixth through 10th went to Kyle Lee, Alex Ferree, Dylan Yoder, Mike Maresca and Jared Miley. Bare became the 160th driver to win a super late model race at Port Royal Speedway.

Heats went to Maresca, Rine, Gene Knaub and Matt Cosner as the Twin consolations went to Hardy and Dillan Stake. Integra Shocks fast time was set by Bare with a lap of 17.802 seconds that topped the 41 car field.
