The Zimmer’s Service Center ULMS Late Model Series will be heading north into New York state on Friday, May 26 for the Ron Baker Memorial presented by Bob McKerrow & Sons RV of Freedom. The 30 lap main event will pay $2500 to the winner. Also on the program will be the Crate Sportsman modfieds, street stocks and mini stocks.

Dave Hess Jr. of Waterford leads the ULMS contingent into Freedom. The defending series champion won the season opener at Mercer and holds a nine point lead over Greg Oakes. Oakes who lives minutes away from Freedom will have his hometown crowd behind him for a huge win at his old hometown track. Damian Bidwell is one of the Close Racing Supply ULMS Elite Drivers and is in his first full year in super late model competition sits tied in points with Oakes. Max Blair who won last year at Freedom sits fourth in points. Blair had to sit out the season opener at Mercer after his engine expired in heat race action or he would be right in the thick of the point chase. Teenager, Kyle Knapp of Brookville, PA who joined the CRS Elite Driver program this year sit a surprisingly fifth in points just two marks behind Blair and one mark ahead of fellow Elite driver, Breyton Santee of North Kingsville, Ohio. Those drivers along with other Close Racing Supply Elite drivers of John Weaver of Commordore, PA, Billy Dickson of West Decatur, Pennsylvania, Bobby Rohrer of Waterford and Charlie Powell of Brookville will be on hand along with other expected super late model teams of Doug Eck, Brent Rhebergen, Bob Dorman, Nathan Hill and many others will be on hand for this event. Hess, Blair and Eck are coming off wins last weekend.

Race Time is 7:30PM with pill cut off and driver meeting at 7PM ULMS Hot Lap Integra Shocks Qualifying will be held to determine the starting lineups in the heat events. The overall fast time will receive $300 from Murphy’s Logging of Delevan. Entry Fee for the event will be $25 upon registering.

200 18th– 24th. $100 tow for non qualifiers.
