Rich Michael sweeps 2016 Rayce and Zoiee Memorial at McKean County Raceway!

Beautiful May skies greeted race fans and teams at McKean County Raceway for the Rayce and Zoiee Zuver Memorial Twin 20s for the Zimmer Service Center UEMS E-Mod specials run in honor of infant twins still-born to promotor Chris Zuver and Lisa Peterson last May 30. The twin 20-lap features were won by Rich Michael Jr in a display of superiority in each event.  Zoiee Zuver Memorial twin features for the Zimmer Service Center UEMS E-Mods to green with Michael grabbing the immediate lead and Johnson second with Joel Watson third. By five laps in Michael had a half straight lead over Johnson with Watson right behind him in third and Josh Ferry, Dan Davies, and Carl McKinney fighting for fourth when Amanda Stiffler came to a halt in turn three. At green Johnson successfully held off Watson for second while Michael again opened a lead. At ten complete McKinney was solidly in fourth with Ferry and Davies still fighting over fifth. By twelve compete Michael had a full straight lead over Johnson then Stiffler pulled to the infield and yellow was again shown, erasing Michael’s lead. At green this time Johnson and Watson stayed side by side for two laps until Watson completed the pass and set sail chasing down Michael who again built a large lead with three laps to go. Mike Potosky was third with seventeen complete and Davies fourth over McKinney and Johnson, who was falling back. The top five remained Michael, Watson, Potosky, Davis, and McKinney at the stripe.

The second Twin Twenty for the UEMS E-Mods had Jake Eucher and David Scott on the front row with Scott blasting into the lead and Greg Johnson coming to second from fourth on the grid. At four laps complete the top five were Scott, Johnson, Mike Potosky, Eucker, and Dan Davies. Five laps in had Potosky now was second and Davies was up to fourth. First race winner Rich Michael Jr was fifth at seven laps complete, after staring tenth. Davies was third at lap eight while Scott was pulling away to a half straight lead by halfway. Davies got by Potosky for second at eleven complete with Scott entering lapped traffic just as Davies spun in turn one at thirteen laps. For the green it was Scott, Potosky, Michael, Johnson, and Joel Watson. Michael came by Scott on the back straight on the first green lap and drove away to his second win of the evening, making a $1500 payday. At the checkers it was Michael by half a straight over Scott, Watson, Potosky, and Mike McGee.
