Jay’s Auto Wrecking “Keeping You Running” Program Rewards ULMS Teams In 2016

We are proud to welcome Jay’s Auto Wrecking of Edinboro, PA on board as one of the Zimmer’s Service Center Inc ULMS Late Model Series major sponsors for the 2016 season.   The Jay’s Auto Wrecking “Keeping You Running” Program for the ULMS Late Model teams is designed to keep the faithful followers of the series with additional monetary rewards throughout the season to help offset some of the traveling expenses incurred.

The concept of the program will be rewarding contracted race teams with the series a guaranteed $400 in start money for each ULMS Series event.   The first “Elite 8” drivers to sign up will be guaranteed guarantee a minimum $400 total per race in winnings beginning the FIRST event of the year. All other team that sign up will start collecting guaranteed contract monies with third event UNLESS they are one of the ELITE 8 contracted drivers and must be in the top 10 in points. Guaranteed contract monies will be awarded to the top 8 point cars that are in the top 10 in points. The series provisional positions will be based off the top contracted driver in points that do not qualify.

Series, owner and race director, Chris Zuver stated his excitement with the new program. “I am very excited to see the drivers who will be running with the ULMS series for 2016.   The series was at its pinnacle in 2013 with 26 events and after our failed merger with the defunct NDRL, the past year and half has been a complete rebuild for the series.”   With some initial talks with some teams already that have expressed interest in the program are defending series champion, Jared Miley, 2014 champion, Jason Dupont, Max Blair, Coleby Frye, Charlie Powell, Greg Oakes, Dan Stone, Mike Pegher and depending on how the 2016 Florida Speedweeks go, possibly former two time champion and World of Outlaw driver, Boom Briggs will be a full time ULMS racer in 2016.

The Zimmer’s Service Center Inc ULMS Late Model Series is looking at a 15 event schedule in the northeast region for the 2016 season competing with plans of a $5000 championship point fund.   With the marketing partnership of Jay’s Auto Wrecking providing the funding, this additional monies paid out will be money that the tracks will not have to worry about and can use as a marketing tool to market the series and drivers to the general public that will be in attendance.

The 2016 Zimmer’s Service Center Inc ULMS Late Model Series will be Time Trial events. For event venues where Time Trial equipment is not available, the series will use the PASSING POINT system with full ULMS series race format rules. Also, ULMS Late Models will incorporate the tire rule of Hoosier 1300 or American Racer 44 or harder rule.

The Jay’s Auto Wrecking “Keeping You Running” Program will not only benefit the race teams but also the paying fan at each event.   At each event a $50 gift certificate towards Jay’s Auto Wrecking will be given away to a fan in attendance.   Details of how fan eligibility will be forthcoming over the winter months.

Charlie Bauer, President of Jay’s Auto Wrecking, stated, “For many years Jay’s has supported various super late model teams and tracks in the region and with this program, we hope to help many teams, and also help a regional ULMS Late Model Series step back up to where it was few years ago.“ “Dirt racing fans have been great supporters of our parts business also, so the gift certificate program for the ULMS Series fans will also give back to them!”
