ULMS DICK LITZ MEMORIAL ON SATURDAY AT ERIEZ “SEPTEMBER SWEEP”
The Zimmer’s Service Center ULMS Late Model Series was supposed to make a trip to Bob & Kathy Rohrer’s Eriez Speedway back in June but mother nature pushed the Dick Litz Memorial back to the night 2 finale of the tracks season ending September Sweep weekend.
“We are grateful to be part of the September Sweep weekend as the series was big part of the inaugural event two years ago where “Big Brother” Dan Stone swept the weekend, commented, ULMS Series owner, Chris Zuver.” The Zimmer’s Service Center ULMS Late Models will compete in a 40 lap, $6000 to win memorial event for former track star Dick Litz.
All the expected tough Eriez competitors will be on hand including 2015 track champion, Darrell Bossard, Greg Oakes, 2014 champion Rob Blair, Chris Hackett, rookie sensation, Chad Wright, Bump Hedman and others will be ready to take on ULMS point leader, Jared Miley, Max Blair, who sits second in the ULMS points and has multiple wins at Eriez this year along with defending series champion, The Captain Jason Dupont, Bill Davis, Bob Dorman and Charlie Powell will be on hand to tackle the Eriez Speedway. A star studded regional field is expected on hand as last year Miley and Tim Fuller captured the non sanction late model wins during the September Sweep weekend.
ULMS procedures will be in place for the event with normal pill draw redraw race procedures along with the ULMS Delaware restarts. Raceivers are mandatory in the Zimmer’s Service Center ULMS Racing Series. No transponders are needed for this event. Entry fee for the $6000 to win event is $50.
Race teams are reminded that Friday night the unsanctioned late model feature will pay $4000 to the winner, a possible $10,000 weekend for someone at Eriez Speedway.
