ULMS PREPARES FOR DICK LITZ MEMORIAL AT ERIEZ ON SUNDAY June 28.

The Zimmer’s Service Center Inc. ULMS Late Model Series returns to Eriez Speedway for the first time in two years for the annual 29 lap Dick Litz Memorial on Sunday night.  The unique 29 lap event is in memory of former track star Dick LItz and his car #29.   The winner of the 29 lap event will go home with a cool $2900 prize.  A full program of weekly action will also be on the program at the Hammett, PA oval.

Dubois, PA driver, Bill Davis finds himself surprisingly on top of the ULMS point battle with 38 points with opening night winner, John Lobb of Frewsburg just four points behind.  Sharon Speedway winner, Max Blair, Jared Miley and Keith Barbara all sit one point behind Lobb.   ULMS has had 35 different racers in the two events hosted so far in 2015.

Rob Blair of Titusville currently sits as Eriez Speedway track point leader over Darrell Bossard, Max Blair, Chris Hackett and rookie Chad Wright.   The W11 of Rob Blair and Bossard have yet found victory lane as Max Blair, Hackett and Wright all have found victory lane along with World of Outlaw outsider Chase Junghans last weekend.   With that all said, there is no clear cut favorite Sunday night when the ULMS Late Models roar around the Hammett, PA oval.

Racers are minded that the weight rule is 2250# and the Zimmer’s Service Center ULMS Late Models have a open tire for both American Racer and Hoosier tire compounds.  Raceivers are mandatory for all competitors with the default channel.  No transponders are needed as Eriez isn’t equipped with a electronic scoring system.  The ULMS Late Model teams will pill draw their heat starting positions and redraw for the feature event with three heats resulting in the top 3 redrawing (9 redraw),  four heats resulting in top 2 finishers redrawing for the feature.  Entry fee for ULMS racers is $30 for this event.

Pits open at 4pm on Sunday with grandstands opening at 4:30pm.  Racing is 6pm Sunday night at Bob and Kathy Rohrer’s Eriez Speedway.  You do not want to miss it!
