The Zimmer’s Service Center Inc. ULMS Late Models kicks off the 15th season of operation on Saturday, May 9 at Stateline Speedway in Busti, NY.  The Lloyd Moore Memorial will NOW pay $3000 to win and $325 to start in the 35 lap main event.  Race time is 7pm and for the racers it’s a cash payout at end of the night!

Group Qualifying will be in place for the ULMS Late Models and both AMB and Westhold transponders will be acceptable for use at the Busti NY oval.  ULMS will have Westhold transponders on hand for rental.  ULMS entry Fee is still $30 for the Lloyd Moore Memorial.

Some of the best late model teams in the north east will be hitting the track for the season opening ULMS event.   2014 ULMS Champion, “The Captain” Jason Dupont along with past ULMS champion, “Hollywood” Mike Knight will be on hand along with 2015 Stateline Speedway champion and opening  night winner Rob Blair, who missed out on the ULMS championship last year by 1 point.

“I am really looking forward to kicking off our 2015 season finally at Stateline next weekend, commented ULMS series owner and race director, Chris Zuver.” “We have had some great events at Stateline over the years, the very first event in 2003 saw David Scott win on the final lap with a three wide pass in turn two and lasts years Julian Buesink Memorial with Dick Barton making a final lap pass on Chris Hackett for his track history making 80th win that would be his final event ever at the legendary oval in Busti.  This past weekend, was Stateline’s opener and Rob Blair won by less and car length over a very strong running John Volpe.  The duo made contact coming to the checkered flag!  What will next weekend bring, I don’t know, maybe we will see the next generation of racing in Max Blair get his first ULMS win or a veteran such as Hackett, Greg Oakes, Dutch Davies, Doug Eck or past champions, Dupont and Knight or a outsider or Rob Blair standing tall at the end of the night.  Only one way to find out, come out next Saturday night to Stateline Speedway.

Pits open up at 3:30PM with ULMS Registration soon after.  Grandstands open at 5pm with Adult admission being $15, Sr Citizen and Veterans $13, Kids 6-15 $8.  A full program of RUSH crate late models, Emods, Street Stocks, Super Sportsman and Challengers.
