The Zimmer’s Service Center ULMS Late Model Series has another three day weekend starting Thursday night at Genesee Speedway in Batavia NY as the event was originally scheduled for last Thursday was rescheduled paying $3000 to win. On Friday night the series will head to southern Pennsylvania for the 2nd annual Junior Eckert Memorial presented by Viper Motorsports that will pay $8000 to win and $500 to start and on Saturday the series makes its first ever trip to Hagerstown Speedway in Maryland for a $3000 to win weekend finale for the series.

The weekend kicks off at Genesee Speedway as the series makes its first of two appearances to the fairground oval in Batavia NY. ULMS point leader and three time defending series champion, Max Blair will lead the contingent as Blair has a pair of ULMS wins at the oval over the past few season. Joining him will be Chew on This Jerky ULMS Rookie of Year drivers, Ryan Scott and Deshawn Gingerich along with Greg Oakes, Mike Wonderling, Bryce Davis, Wyatt Scott and several others for the 30 lap $3000 to win event. Hot laps begin at 630PM Thursday night with ULMS driver meeting at 6:10PM. Joining the ULMS Late Models will be the Big Block Modifieds for the Gladiator!

On Friday the series heads south to Trail-Way Speedway in Hanover, PA for the second annual Junior Eckert Memorial presented by Viper Motorsports in honor of dirt late model hall of famer Rick Eckert’s father. The 50 lap main event will see the winner go home with $8000 first place prize! Last year saw Jason Covert hold off Max Blair to win the event with Eckert finishing third. Some of the notable teams entering the event that has a purse of around $29,000 are Ross Robinson, Dan Stone, Gary Stuhler, Dylan Yoder, Shaun Jones, Gregg Satterlee, Dave Stamm, Jim Bernheisel, Andy Haus and many others. Tentatively, driver meeting at 7pm with hot laps at 7:15PM followed by ULMS Integra Shock Qualifying Friday night. The Entry fee for Friday nights event will be $80 with part of the entry fee going into the purse.

On Saturday night the ULMS Late Model Series roll into the Capitol of Dirt Track Racing at the legendary Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown MD. The first ever visit by the ULMS series to the half mile oval will see a 30 lap event paying $3000 to the winner. Expected on hand are some of the regions top teams along with the ULMS stars of Blair, Scott and Gingerich along with West Virginia hotshoe, Matt Cosner, Stuhler, Roy Deese and several others. Hot laps begin at 7pm Saturday night at Hagerstown.

ULMS Racing Series normal procedures will be in place for Thursday and Saturday which includes Integra Shocks time trials, minimum 8 lap qualifying heat events, consolation events, Jay’s Auto Wrecking Scramble and the main event. Time Trials per ULMS rules will be the following: 3 heats or less will be straight up; 4 heats will result in A&B group qualifying. The ULMS Late Model Series tire rule is Hoosier 1300 or American Racer 44 or harder on all 4 corners. All late model teams must present their cars along with safety equipment at pre-race safety and car inspection. No cars will be allowed on the track before completing tech. Genesee Speedway utilitzes the Mylaps / AMB transponder and Hagerstown uses the Westhold system for all scoring and timing. The Payouts for those two events will be $3000 1500 1200 1000 800 650 600 550 525 500 450 400 350 325 300 (14th – 24th). The Junior Eckert Memorial will be under the Viper Motorsports Promotion and the race procedures will be similar to ULMS normal procedures The 50 lap feature will see the normal ULMS Delaware Double File up until lap 40 is complete. Last 10 laps, single file. After the ½ way point of the race, there is no guaranteed time in the hot pit for anything. Off of turn 2 will be the hot-pit. 2 minutes from the time you get there. Tire rule for this event will be Hoosier 1300 on all 4 corners with 1325 RR Option and American Racer 44 on all 4 corners and 48 RR Option. Trail-Way Speedway utilizes the Mylaps/AMB Transponder system for all scoring and timing. The payout for the event will be $8000, 4000, 2200 1700 1500, 1200 1150 1100 1050 1000 800 750 700 650 600 550 500 500 500 500 ( Series Provisionals if needed $500 for 21st and 22nd position. Per ULMS rules, provisionals are for any team in the top 10 in points that has completed 80% of that regions events. ULMS Emergency provisional(S) are for ULMS Full Time teams of Blair, Ryan Scott and Gingerich. Entry Fee is $80 for the Junior Eckert Memorial.
