A successful and final look on the completed 2023 Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series Race Season! With the 2024 race season mere weeks away, the Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series recognizes their 2023 Champions, Elite Driver’s, Partners and the return of the Championship Banquet.
The Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Late Model Series completed 12 of their 19 scheduled events in three states at 13 different venues. A weather dampened season didn’t stop driver’s from attending however. With an average of 28.7 cars per night and over 160 different racers participating at Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series touring events. With the introduction of the “Elite Driver Program”, the touring series saw its largest committed following in its 23 years at events with 10 driver’s signing on previous to the season beginning. Of those 10, nine were new driver’s to the touring series and respectively known as some of the up and coming stars of the northern and mid-atlantic regions!
A tight points battle all year lead to a close finish in not only the championship points, but the then Lindemuth Laser Etching Fast Time points chase. Then Jay’s Auto Wrecking Elite Driver’s Ryan Montgomery and Tyler Emory continually clashed in the points chase’s for both! The Cameron-Mann Motorsports owned #72 driven by Tyler Emory of King George, VA would come out victorious on both fronts.

The Elite Driver Program brought incentive for race teams to follow the tour, with bonuses such as pit passes, free registration, emergency provisionals and more. Its inaugural start in 2023 was seen as a huge success and has since been modified and improved for 2024.
Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series saw the return of the Championship Banquet after a four year hiatus. Taken place at Three Rivers Karting & Entertainment Park; the venue offered a banquet hall, catered food and drinks, indoor kart racing for the guests and supported a local racing business being 3RK which is operated and partially owned by longtime racer Daryl Charlier. With a filled hall the banquet awarded the 2023 Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series participants their point fund monies, trophy awards, large points checks, American Racer Tires, merchandise and embroidered jackets as well as an additional $500.00 from Lindemuth Laser Etching.
Tyler Emory was the top point fund recipient leaving with over $11,000.00 and additional product. The King George, VA native was crowned not only the 2023 Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series Champion, but the 2023 Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series Rookie of the Year presented by Chew On This – Jerky. That wasn’t it for Tyler’s awards, he claimed the Lindemuth Laser Etching Fast Time Award as well. His standout year saw two touring series wins, seven podiums and 11 top 10’s out of the 12 completed events. Tyler Emory and the Cameron-Mann Motorsports team accomplished this all while winning the Appalachian Speedweek Points chase as well!
Chew On This – Jerky returned again in 2023 as the presenting sponsor of the Rookie of the Year Award. For 2023, this meant nine of the ten driver’s where all in a chase for the award with only the #10s of Dave Stamm being ineligible for the award due to being committed three years prior. Three rookies found Close Racing Supply Victory lane while others came close. Tyler Emory won his first Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series event at Bradford Speedway for the “Corporal Jason Dunham Memorial” and then again at the series first visit to Hummingbird Speedway for the “Grady’s Decision Night” special event. Fourth place points the championship points, Logan Zarin got his one and only touring series victory at the series first visit to Latrobe speedway! Coming in second in the championship points was Ryan Montgomery. Ryan found victory lane at Outlaw Speedway!
