Cody Egner of Buffalo NY will join the Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Model Series North Region in 2020 and compete for the Chew on This Jerky Rookie of the Year Program. The 2020 season will be Egner’s second full time season competing in the super late model program.
Egner will call Freedom Motorsports Park his home track for the 2020 season. Freedom was the local track growing up for Egner and he started his career there in the mini stock division, then the crate sportsman modified division before going full time late model racing last season. Egner finished 12th last year in Freedom’s final points despite not finishing the season due to season ending damage in late August.

Chew on This Jerky of Corona, California will be putting up $1500 towards the 2020 Rookie of the Year Program. With the series having two regions for the first time in its 20 year history each region will pay a minimum $750 to each ULMS “Chew on This Jerky” Rookie of Year. Egner joins Bob Dorman in the North Region while Tyler Horst is the only south region eligible driver to date to register for the Chew on This Jerky Rookie of Year participants.
“I am excited to have Cody come on board for the 2020 season for the north region and the Chew on this Jerky Rookie of Year program. Cody raced several events last season and was getting better each night out in the super late. It was unfortunate that a suspension failure caused his season to come to a crashing end but the experience he received running not just with ULMS but each night at Freedom was invaluable to him in his growth stated ULMS Racing Series President, Chris Zuver.”
