The 2019 Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Model Series Speedweek Hell Tour kicked off at Old Bradford Speedway with the Firecracker 40. The $3000 to win 40 lap main event saw a series first time winner in Bryce Davis of Corning NY grabbing the crowd pleasing win.
Close Racing Supply ULMS Elite drivers, Mike Wonderling Jr and Max Blair brought the field to green with Blair rocketing down the back stretch to lead lap 1 over Wonderling, Dave Hess, David Scott and Greg Oakes. By lap 5 Blair had started pull away from the field with Wonderling, Hess and Scott now in a battle for the runner up position.
By lap 10 the trio battling for second was still the same and had the crowd on their feet with a 3 wide battle as lap cars started to become a factor. At the halfway point it was Blair by a straightaway over the trio for second and Hess would make a dive under Wonderling in turn 3 to grab second. Scott would take third from Wonderling one lap later. Lap 23 would see Scott grab third from Hess before the first yellow of the night for Andy Boozel. Wonderling would go to the pits for a right rear flat. On the restart Blair kept Scott and Hess at bay as Bryce Davis had gotten by Oakes for fourth. Lap 25 would see the second caution and this one was for the third place running Hess and Lap 26 yellow for Bob Dorman. Both Hess and Dorman retired from the event. The top five was Blair, Scott, Davis, Wyatt Scott and Oakes.
On the restart Blair led the field into turn 1 and 2 and got his #111 machine sideways allowing Bryce Davis to scoot by as Blair and David Scott fell back to fourth and fifth. Once in front Davis began to pull away from Wyatt Scott who has now found himself in the runner up position. Blair was pressuring Scott for fourth as Andy Boozel had worked his way back to sixth and was few car lengths from Blair as the laps clicked off. At the checkers it was Bryce Davis picking up his first career ULMS Late Model Series win over Wyatt Scott, Greg Oakes, David Scott and Max Blair. David Scott was Integra Shocks Fast Time with a lap of 15.854 seconds. Scott and Hess were the two heat winners.
